This upcoming weekend, help celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Hobe Sound Festivals of the Arts. The festival is returning for another year and will feature some of the nation’s top artists and skilled craft artisans.

The festival is a community event and celebration held on Dixie Highway from Bridge Road to Venus Street. Every year the festival brings thousands of people to browse through the festive art marketplace. One of Palm Beach Island’s most exclusive estates is open to visitors for tours. The Flagler Museum, formally known as Whitehall was the estate of the American Industrialist and the islands founders, Henry M. Flagler. The grand estate features more than 100,000 square feet that is filled with some of the most important history of Palm Beach.

The island’s famous landmark was commissioned by Flagler to be a winter estate for himself and his wife Mary as a wedding gift in 1902. It was announced in December that the popular ArtiGras Art Festival held every winter will be moving back to Palm Beach Gardens. For the past 20 years, the annual art festival was held in Jupiter but due to construction, the festival is moving back to Palm Beach Gardens.

Recently, the festival organizers have announced that they are looking for volunteers to help partake in the weekend activities. The entirely outdoor festival is taking over the Gardens North County District Park the weekend of February 13th through February 14th, 2021.

Every Thursday morning throughout the month of December, The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a weekly ArtSea Kids Paint Class. The program is hosted outdoors at the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center.

Sign the kids up for this Thursday, December 10th class. Participants will be able to participate in a story time with an ocean conservation theme and will be able to paint their own ceramic ocean friend that they will be able to take home with them at the end of the program.

The ArtSea Kids Painting Class is recommended for children ages three to eight and costs $10 dollars per painter. The program is hosted outdoors under a canopy, so come dressed for the weather.

The city of West Palm Beach is hosting their 10th Annual Downtown Art Festival this Saturday and Sunday. The Art Festival will be a socially distanced outdoor art show.

Rows of tents arranged gallery style will line the streets and be filled with life size sculptures, paintings, one of a kind jewelry, photography, ceramics, and much more. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Palm Beach Island. The Flagler Museum has transformed into a Christmas wonderland as part of their annual holiday tradition, Christmas at Whitehall.

During the holiday season, the first floor of Whitehall, also known as The Flagler Museum, is decorated in traditional Gilded Age holiday decorations. The main focal point of the holiday décor is the large 16-foot Christmas tree in the Grand Hall, filled with Gilded Age style ornaments and colored lights. The exterior and front gates of the grand estate are decorated with holiday wreathes and lights.
