The Palm Beach International Boat Show is back again for another year. The Palm Beach International Boat Show is one of the largest boat shows and one of the top 5 in the United States and will be in downtown West Palm Beach next week Thursday, March 28th through Sunday, March 31st.

This Friday join the River Center in Jupiter for an exciting family-friendly adventure, the Sandbar and Seashell Family Boating tour and Snorkeling Exploration.

Climb onboard the Osprey boat for a fun trip on the Loxahatchee River. Here you’ll be able to hunt for seashells, snorkeling and get some sunshine, while docking at the sandbar. Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, water, snacks and snorkeling gear. Guests will be getting on and off the boat at several times through the day.

The River Center in Jupiter and the United States Coast Guard team up several times a year to provide a number of Boating Safety classes. The boating safety classes are aimed for young boaters in the area, but all are welcomed to attend to learn how to navigate the waterways.

The safety class are provided by the AustinBlu Foundation, a non-profit that is dedicated to raising awareness about safety on the water and to promote education programs.

The cost to attend the class is free, however a deposit is required to reserve your spot in the class. The deposit of $10 dollars will be refunded in full to all who attend the class.

Jupiter’s only water TOP restaurant has been featured on Food Network’s new show “Food Boats”, and Chef Justin Lindemann is ecstatic.

According to the Palm Beach Post, producers and celebrity Chef Jordan Andino hopped on the Food Yacht in April to shoot the spotlight segment on Lindemann’s small kitchen creations. Lindemann wanted to showcase the locals’ favorite barbecue chicken burrito and lemon pepper seared tuna wrap, but producers insisted on the shrimp BLT and crab cakes.

The New York City film crew had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and Bahamas-blue water of Jupiter Florida from the 40-foot six-seater restaurant.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) made it easier for both visitors and residents of Florida to complete the boating safety exam required for recreational boaters born on or after January 1st, 1988. Online providers are permitted to offer the temporary certificate exam 24-hours a day, seven days a week, and it can be accessed by tablet, laptops, and even smartphones.

Prior to this change, paper exams were the only option, and had to be completed and passed on the spot by rental vessel operators, while boat rental facilities had to purchase, administer, and mail in the valid hard copies. The newer convenient method can be completed online before a vacation or a trip to rent a boat.
