The Festival of the Arts is back in Boca Raton for its extraordinary, multi-day cultural arts event this February and March. The Festival of the Arts is in its 13th year and this year’s installation is “A Season of Heroes” and is set to deliver a star-studded event.

The iconic Palm Beach mansion and museum is one of the most famous landmarks and homes on Palm Beach Island. The Flagler Museum, or formally known as Whitehall, is a grand elegant estate that features more than 100,000 square feet filled with some of the most important Palm Beach history.

The home was commission by the American Industrialist Henry Flagler as a wedding gift to his wife Mary. Flagler, the founder of Standard Oil commissioned John Carrere and Thomas Hastings to build and design the grand estate. Hastings and Carrere were also the architects for other famous landmarks such as the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City and the New York Public Library during the Gilded Age.

Head to Lake Worth this weekend for the 26th Annual Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival. The festival is the largest of its kind in the country and draws a huge crowd to Lake Worth every year.

The street painting turns the roads into hand drawn artwork and chalk designs. The artwork only last until the next raindrop when it will be washed away. The popular festival features temporary artwork masterpieces.

Local and National artists create classic or 3-D masterpieces for viewers to come by and see. The drawings are done by using environmentally friendly chalk on both the streets and sidewalks. More than 600 artists are expected to be present this year.

Calling all photographers and photography enthusiasts, FotoFusion is heading back to downtown West Palm Beach this February. FotoFusion is a five-day event presented by the Palm Beach Photographic Centre in West Palm Beach.

Around 70 of the best photographers and instructors from around the country and world come to West Palm Beach for the festival every year to teach workshop events and display their works. The Norton Museum of Art was founded in 1941 by Ralph H Norton and his wife Elizabeth. Norton was an industrialist in Chicago who headed the Acme Steel Company. The museum came about because him and his wife used to collect items and art to decorate their home.

The couple retired in 1935 and began spending more time in Palm Beach County. Not knowing what to do with their giant art collection and sculptures they decided to create their own museum in West Palm Beach. Construction began on the Norton Gallery and the School of Art in 1940 in West Palm Beach and opened a year later to the public in February of 1941.

Every year, the Society of the Four Arts features cultural programs, art exhibits, concerts, notable speakers, films and much more. The Annual Midnight Sun Festival celebrating Finnish culture will be held in Bryant Park in Lake Worth March 1 – 3, 2019.  The entire family can enjoy live music, a taste of some delicious Finnish food, and lots of fun!
