It has also been synonymous with lavish vacations that will break the bank. BUT this year, Florida has been included in Oyster’s list of the “11 Most Budget Friendly Beach Destinations in the U.S.” 

Pensacola has taken the top spot on this budget friendly list. Some of the other destinations included Puerto Rico, Cannon Beach, Oregon, Virginia Beach, Cape May, New Jersey, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Palm Beach County’s own Delray Beach came in at ninth on the list of “most budget friendly beach destinations in the U.S.”

The Holidays are right around the corner and south Florida will start lighting up with beautiful ornaments and festive décor. Taking place tomorrow is the annual celebration of the Delray Beach Tree Lighting. 

Every year around the holidays Delray Beach lights a 100-foot Christmas tree. The tree is a famous ornament that decorates the Old School Square grounds. It is so large that spectators can even walk through the enormous tree. 

Old School Square Cultural Arts Center is one of Delray Beach’s prized assets. The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum is a beautiful and charming, non-profit organization in Delray Beach, Florida. The museum is offering its first “Ride & Remember” Trolley Tour for 2015 to 2016 season. The first trolley tour will take place this Saturday, October 10th. 

The monthly tours will take place on the second Saturday of each month. With the historic trolleys and important history, The Spady Cultural Museum will make Delray Beach history come alive. The tour guides will share stories of the personalities, events and places that shaped this beautiful beachside city.
