The River Center in Jupiter is hosting their family friendly event this Wednesday, May 8th. The Sandbar and Seashells Family Boating Tour and Snorkeling Exploration for a trip along the Loxahatchee River.

The boat will launch from the Burt Reynold’s Park on US Highway 1 at 1:30 pm. Climb aboard the Osprey boat to hunt for shells and Marinelife at the sandbar, soak up the sun and snorkel along the sandbar and waters.

Those who attend are asked to bring your own water shoes, water, snacks, and snorkel gear. The event is this Wednesday, May 8th form 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Registration is required due to space. The cost to attend is $30 dollars for adults and $20 dollars for children. To register, click here.

The popular food truck’s line the streets of Main Street of the Town Center and offer a variety of different cuisines from around the world and offer someone for everyone. Over 1,000 runners will line up this weekend to compete, celebrate and encourage each other during this Mother’s Day race. This is a great event for competitive races and casual walkers alike. Come out with your mothers and daughters and race for a good cause!

Each runner will receive a finisher’s medal, boa, race tech shirt, and goody bag.

Abacoa is already known for its restaurants, boutique shops, and of course Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, home of the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals.

Recently though, the area has seen some new entertainment options pop up. Last year, an 18-hole miniature golf course opened, designed and built by Jack Nicklaus. Later this month, the latest entertainment option to come to Abacoa will open its doors, an escape room.

Will to Escape is set to open May 25th across from Aaron's Table and next to Civil Society Brewery according to owner Jarret Zwilling. Will to Escape will feature three one-hour escape rooms, all with different themes. The rooms will be called Sector X, The Stolen Relic, and The Terminal.

Bring your kids to The River Center in Jupiter this Saturday for their “Art in Nature” program from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

This course, which is led by artist Brenda Nickolaus, will provide instruction for students to create their own work of art. This is a great event for children living in the Palm Beaches and parents who want to encourage their kids to be creative and draw inspiration from the world around them.

The Town of Jupiter is hosting its 29th Annual Turtle Trot 5K Run tomorrow (Saturday, May 4th). This is a flat and fast, out and back 3.1-mile race along the beautiful Jupiter beach. A free tech shirt will be provided to all registered participants, available sizes are first come, first served. This race for runners of all ages as well as for families. You can be competitive or just run for fun, either way it’s a great event.

All finishers will receive a medal for completing the 5K. Accuchip will manage all timing and scoring. We are encouraging all participants to wear their favorite Star Wars themed costumes. There will be a contest for the best-dressed adult runner and child runner

Jupiter Hammerheads are playing the Bradenton Marauders at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Abacoa tomorrow, May 2.

The Hammerheads have been off to a bit of a rough start this season, they are currently on an 11 game loss streak and they fell the last time they faced the Marauders on April 30 in a tough 1-8 loss. This is sure to be an interesting game as the Hammerheads try to work out their mound issues and get their season back on track.
