Once a month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum host a hike through their 120-acre Outstanding Natural Area. As the place where the Loxahatchee River and Indian River Lagoon come together, it has yielded signs of early cultures living along these significant waters. Step back in time and experience natural undeveloped Jupiter and Tequesta on the hike.

Open sunrise to sunset. There are two trails. Enjoy a 1.5-mile trek through the area, learning about the topography and natural history, stopping at historic points along the way including the lighthouse. The hike lasts approximately two hours. Wear hiking footwear, activewear, a hat, sunglasses, and bring a big bottle of water because you will be out in the sun.

I have no idea either, but you can attempt to keep a count of the various shades with a libation in hand at one of the local waterfront eateries. Be intentional and mindful of the colors you perceive in nature.

This Saturday the Downtown Abacoa Amphitheater in Jupiter will host a Billy Joel Tribute Band. The Turnstiles deliver an unforgettable Billy Joel concert tribute experience. This is not the first time they have played a show in Abacoa, they performed in 2019 which met with rave reviews! The show is scheduled for 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.

The first "Friends of Jupiter Beach" beach cleanup is slated for this Saturday January 15th from 8:00 A.M.  to 10:00 A.M. at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter. Volunteers and supporters of the environment are invited to meet at the Anita Lankler Pavilion. The beach cleanup helps maintain our beaches for generations to come. For more information visit the FJB Facebook page. The volunteers will clean a 2 1/2 mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park. The specified crossovers are at 22-59.

Palm Beach County announced the temporary bridge closure of the Donald Ross Road bridge. The Donald Ross Bascule Bridge crosses the Intracoastal Waterway at Mile Marker 1009.3 with high vertical clearance of thirty-five feet and ninety feet of horizontal space in the center span. The bridge has a restricted opening schedule, opening on the hour and half-hour. 

The bridge intersects Ellison Wilson Road and Donald Ross Road.  Have you ever wondered why those names? Fun fact...both Wilson and Ross were local men who would grow up and serve in the United States military. A memorial was dedicated to Donald Ross and Ellison Wilson, two of many World War II heroes. The State of Florida only has a few remaining Dog-Friendly Beaches in the entire state and the Town of Jupiter is proud to have one of them.  Jupiter Beach is doggone-friendly! In 1989, the town adopted the policy to allow dogs to play on the beach.  Since then, the stretch of sand where dogs are permitted has grown to 2.5 miles long. The Dog-Friendly Beach area stretches from Carlin Park at Beach Marker #57 to Marcinski Road at Beach Marker #25. In this designated area, dogs are allowed to play freely while being supervised by their owners.

Pet owners are requested to abide by the Town of Jupiter simple rule's simple rules to maintain the dog-friendly beach.
