This weekend join the group of Blue Friends for a monthly Beach Clean Up in Juno Beach. The Beach Clean Ups are on the third Saturday of every month.

You are asked to bring your own bucket and garden gloves to collect the trash and help keep our beaches clean. The beaches of Juno Beach is one of the world’s most populated sea turtle nesting spots and where sea turtles call home.

The cleanup will begin at 8:30 am and last approximately an hour. Following the cleanup, a light breakfast will be sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts and there will be free coffee provided by Oceana Coffee. The cleanup will be cancelled if there is severe weather in the area.

The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium along with Student ACES are hosting their 6th Annual Heroes VS. Hotshots Kickball Game in Jupiter this weekend.

Come and watch the celebrity “Hotshots” take on the Military, Fire and Police Officers “Heroes” in a fun and competitive kickball game on the main field.

The family friendly event will also feature carnivals rides, games, live music and entertainment, food from Bolay, bounce houses, prizes, and much more. The event is free to attend, and ride and game tickets will be available for purchase and sold onsite.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting the first Family Adventure Day of 2020. In 2020, the Jupiter Lighthouse is also celebrating its 160th Anniversary.

Come and spend the afternoon on the waterfront with adventures to celebrate Florida’s history and maritime heritage inspired educational activities. The Town of Jupiter is hosting their 22nd Annual Classics By The Sea Race this Saturday, January 11th. The race will include a 5K run, 10K run, and a Kids 1 Miler.

The race will begin in Carlin Park in Jupiter along A1A. Finisher medals and t-shirts will be given to all participants. There will also be food and an award ceremony for the top finishers in each category and the run will include chip timing.

Runners can pick up their Race Day Packets, Runner Bibs and Shirts at Tri Bike Run located on US Highway 1 in Juno Beach on Friday, January 1-th from 3 pm to 6 pm. Runners can also arrive early on Race Day and pick up their packets at Carlin Park from 5:45 am to 6 am.

Check your calendars for the Jupiter’s Annual Citizens’ Academy Program Jupiter U. The Town of Jupiter hosts the event several times a year and as of today Monday, January 6th registration is now open for the tours.

Throughout the year, the Town will host many residents for their Jupiter U tours. The tours are aimed for those who know and love everything about the lifestyle, history and living in Jupiter. The tours kick off with a welcome session at the historic Civic Center in Jupiter and will include a tour of the Dubois House, Train Depot Tour, Riverbend History Tour, and much more.

This weekend, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Hike Through History event.

The Hike Through History includes a 2-mile journey through the lighthouse’s 120 acres Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. Along the way, guests will learn about the history that was shaped by nature.

The program is open to adults and children. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 5 years old. Hiker footwear, active wear clothing, a hat and a full water bottle are recommended for the Hike. The Hike starts at the Museum’s flagpole and the event is weather dependent.

Every Friday morning during the month of January, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their reoccurring popular Hammock Hike. The Hammock Hike is in honor of Gopher Tortoise Day on April 10th where the center will be leading the hike through Loggerhead Park.

The Hammock Hike includes members of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff leading a hike through the park to explore the Gopher tortoise habitat, to learn more about tortoises and maybe even see one along the journey. The Gopher tortoises are keystone species and have a huge impact on the ecosystem they live in. Today, the Gopher tortoise population is declining due to habitat loss, morality and illness.

Climb to the top of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse this Wednesday for the reoccurring Lighthouse Sunset Tour.

During the tour, you’ll get to witness the Lighthouse light lite up the sky and get a tour of the Lighthouse Watch room to see how everything works. The tours last approximately 75 minutes long and the tours are weather permitting.

The cost to attend is $20 dollars per person or $15 dollars for Lighthouse Members. Children must be 48 inches tall to climb the lighthouse tower. Those who attend must be able to climb the lighthouse 105 steps to the top.

Head out on your bicycles this holiday season to check out the holiday light displays around Jupiter.

The annual Family Holiday Lights Ride is this Friday night starting in Downtown Abacoa. Those who wish to participate in the bike ride can meet up at the intersection of Town Center Drive and Edna Hibel Way, near Jumby Bay.

Those who are participating should be there around 6:30 pm for a 7 pm start time. The family-friendly event is a causal holiday bike ride over to Jupiter Heights for a tour of holiday lights and displays. Helmets and bicycle lights are strongly encouraged during the ride.

The holiday bike ride is free for all who wish to participate and get into the Christmas spirit.
