The Norton Museum of Art was founded in 1941 by Ralph H Norton and his wife Elizabeth. Norton was an industrialist in Chicago who headed the Acme Steel Company. The museum came about because him and his wife used to collect items and art to decorate their home.

The couple retired in 1935 and began spending more time in Palm Beach County. Not knowing what to do with their giant art collection and sculptures they decided to create their own museum in West Palm Beach. Construction began on the Norton Gallery and the School of Art in 1940 in West Palm Beach and opened a year later to the public in February of 1941.

Hoffman’s Chocolates turns into a Winter Wonderland every holiday season.

The chocolate factory transforms overnight and features more than 100,000 LED holiday lights, amazing holiday displays, a giant 12-foot Christmas tree, chocolate making classes, Menorah Lighting ceremonies, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and much more. There will also be a Holiday Ice Skating Rink located in the front of the factory.

Winter Wonderland is open every night expect Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from now until December 30th. Santa Claus will be in the gardens every night through December 23rd from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Riverbend Park in Jupiter is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located on Indiantown Road.

The park is a little over 665 acres and recently has undergone some renovations to improve the park. The new improvements this year are an observation area, outdoor picnic pavilion, new kayak launching stations, parking lot and more.

Head to the Royal Poinciana Plaza on Saturday mornings for their Weekend Wellness Series. Every Saturday throughout the year, the luxury shopping and dining center in Palm Beach hosts different fitness classes outside.

Every week the fitness classes rotate and there is a different class or type of fitness every week. The fitness classes are free and take place in the Plaza’s west courtyard. On the third Saturday of every month, a large group from Blue Friends and the public get together and hosts their monthly Beach Clean Up.

The Beach Clean Up takes place along the beaches of Juno Beach. The Clean Up last approximately an hour and you are asked to bring gardening gloves, buckets and sun protection to help participate.

Following the Beach Clean Up, there will be a light breakfast sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens and complimentary coffee by Oceana Coffee.

The Beach Clean Up’s are to help to keep our beaches clean that thousands of sea turtles gather and nest along the shores of Juno Beach. By keeping the beaches clean, the sea turtle nests and sea turtles can stay strong and heathy.

Join the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum for their Annual Rendezvous at the Light fundraiser to help benefit the lighthouse.

The annual waterfront fundraiser is back for another year and this year the event plans to be better than ever. The fundraiser is the biggest fundraiser held at the Jupiter Lighthouse and the proceeds go towards helping to lighthouse run and operate, help to preserve the heritage site and help to promote more educational programs.
