The Town of Jupiter’s beautiful Abacoa Community is home to a brand new 18-hole miniature golf course. The Golden Cub Mini Golf, located in the heart of Abacoa’s Town Center, 1145 Main Street Jupiter has a huge heart.  

Golden Cub Mini Golf has partnered with the Jack Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and together they will proudly donate a dollar from every full price round of mini golf to the foundation. Jack and Barbara Nicklaus founded the children’s charity in 2004.  In an effort to provide families access to world-class pediatric care, the Jack Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation is honored to support efforts to increase pediatric services here in our area.

Cinquez Park, located at 2183 West Indiantown Road in Jupiter, is a new dog park which has joined other dog friendly “off leash” fun spots in addition to the beach.  Under the direction of their owners, a dog park is a safe place for dogs to exercise and play off-leash in a secure environment.  Most canine parks characteristically offer a 6' fence, separate gated entries for large and small breeds, water, shade for hot days and benches for humans.  The dog park should have regular maintenance and sanitizing of the grounds.

Cuban immigration has greatly influenced South Florida.  Present day Miami, and a lot southeast Florida reflects a rich multicultural hub of various traditions, foods and culture. 

The first wave of immigrants occurred after the Cuban Revolution of 1959 led by Fidel Castro. Many political refugees came with the idea that the new government would not last long, and their stay in the U.S. was temporary. Homes, cars, and other properties in Cuba were left behind until the government fell. Castro promptly stopped this exodus with the confiscation of all properties belonging to anyone leaving the country.

Florida Atlantic University’s rock climbing center has opened an outdoor climbing center.  It is located at the north end of the campus in Boca Raton, 777 Glades Road.  It is open to the public Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. 

Rock climbing is an activity in which partakers climb up, down or across natural rock formations or artificial rock walls. The goal is to reach the summit of a natural or artificial formation. The idea is to reach this point of an outlined predetermine route without falling.
