Northern Palm Beach County is a popular place for the Sea Turtle Nesting Season. Along the shore in Jupiter and Juno Beach, hundreds of sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach monitors the beach beginning May 1st through October 31st to provide care for the sick and injured sea turtles before releasing them back into the ocean.

The thousands of sea turtle nests that will be found along the beach usually contain about 100 eggs in each, requiring 45 to 60 days before they start to hatch. The reason why Northern Palm Beach County is such a popular sea turtle nesting spot is due to the gulf stream current that bends toward Florida, and the close proximity to the Sargasso Sea, a small region in the…

The Town of Jupiter is one of the few remaining locations in the state of Florida to have dog-friendly beaches. The town adopted the policy in 1989 and since then, the area has grown to over 2.5 mile stretch along the beach.

The Jupiter Dog Beach stretches from beach marker #25 at Marcinski road, going north to beach marker #59 at the south end of Carlin Park. In this designated area, dogs are allowed to roam freely but must be supervised.

The Town of Jupiter has set in place a number of rules that should be followed when bringing your dog to the beach. Being able to bring your dog to the beach is considered a privilege that only a few towns in Florida allow. Free waste bags have been provided by the Friends of Jupiter at every cross station…

Jupiter residents have cherished childhood memories of splashing around the shallow lagoon of DuBois Park and investigating the DuBois Pioneer Home. The grounds and estuary are a joy to explore. DuBois Park has a rich history. Within the park is a house made of Florida pine that was once home to early Florida pioneers, Harry, and Susan DuBois.

Built in 1898, the DuBois Pioneer Home is one of the last remaining historic homesteads of its type in unincorporated northern Palm Beach County. Located along the Jupiter Inlet in Palm Beach County’s DuBois Park, “the house on the hill” is a historic example of a self-sufficient South Florida Pioneer homestead.

The house is built atop of a Native American shell rock midden. The DuBois home, constructed in…
