10th Annual Run 4 The Sea Happening This Saturday
This upcoming Father’s Day weekend, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center will be hosting their 10th Annual Run 4 The Sea. The run is to help raise awareness and raise money for endangered sea turtles and for ocean conservation. This year, the race will be a little different than previous years. The Run 4 The Sea is going virtual, and runners will get to pick its location.
The run, even though virtual, will still benefit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission to promote the conservation of the ocean’s ecosystems with a special focus on endangered and threatened sea turtles. For the past 10 years, the Run 4 The Sea has been an annual Father’s Day weekend tradition in South Florida. The run usually takes place along the beach of Jupiter, Juno Beach, and A1A but this year, participants can choose the location.
The run is a timed 4-mile race and a kid’s 1-miler. The 10th annual run is open to all runners, walkers, and hikers of all ages. The virtual Run 4 The Sea will be taking place this Saturday, June 19th. The costs to participate is $40 dollars for adults and $20 dollars for kids. The price includes a sports style participant t-shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a race bib that will be mailed.
Local participants can pick up their race packets if they choose at the Malted Barley in Juno Beach on Friday, June 18th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Race results will be uploaded and posted online, participants who register for the race will be emailed instructions.
