This Saturday, September 21st is International Coastal Clean Up day around the world. International Coastal Clean Up Day is the world’s largest event where volunteers come together to help clean up our beaches and help to protect marine life. The event happens every year and volunteers from over 100 countries head to their local beaches and coastline to show their support for a cleaner ocean.

Here are some Clean Up events going on this Saturday in Palm Beach County. If you wish to volunteer, you can pre-register by contacting the coordinator listed for each clean up location. The Downtown at the Gardens and the Palm Beach Food Bank have gotten together for the second year in a row for the Magical Night To Fight Hunger Event. The event is taking place on Thursday, September 26th at 6 pm at the Downtown at the Gardens.

Come and enjoy a three-course meal under the stars with live music and entertainment. The night benefits the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Tickets are $75 dollars per person and you can RSVP by this upcoming Saturday, September 14th. No walk-in’s will be allowed due to the popularity of the event.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is a sea turtle rehabilitation, research and education center. The center is a non-profit that promotes the conservation of the ocean’s ecosystems and focuses on endangered and threatened sea turtles.

The center offers onsite rehabilitation center for injured and endangered sea turtles, aquariums, research laboratories. The Center continues to monitor the turtles progress for their recovery before releasing the sea turtle back into the ocean.
