There is a rich history substantiating the Town of Jupiter as a favorite destination that dates back to the Celestial Railroad of the late 1880’s. The Celestial Railroad line was just 7.5 miles long. The railroad had once served as the last link for travelers to Lake Worth. After boating down the Indian River, they would take the train to the head of Lake Worth in Juno where they would once again board a boat for destinations further in South Florida. In 1893, the Celestial Railroad advertised a “Grand Tour” ride for $114.95!

The justification for naming the railway the Celestial Railroad was for the reason that the four stations were named Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Juno.  The Jupiter station was located on the Jupiter Inlet, on the southernmost point…

When you begin exploring for your dream home you may consider sitting down and creating a list of items you wish you could have in this ideal home.  Better yet, grab a piece of paper and fold it in half, on one side of the paper, place at the top of the paper the page the label “Wish List” and on the other side the fold line place the label “Needs List”.  Begin jotting down ideas you would like to have in your dream home.

Perhaps your “Wish List” may include 6-bedroom suites/ 8 bathrooms/ 6,000 square feet/ with 2 guest houses/ directly on the ocean.  If you can manage to move forward with this “Wish List” move forward with your dream home purchase!  If not, it might be time to take a look at the “Needs List” a bit more carefully and find a…

Like a book in the clearance rack with a tattered cover, a home with a run-down exterior won't attract buyers. That’s why you want to make that first impression a great one — and invite buyers to take a look around, instead of moving onto the next listing. Here are outdoor improvements that boost your home’s curb appeal.

Clean Up the Front Porch

It doesn’t matter if you have a grand, sweeping porch, or a concrete step leading to your front door, the exterior entryway can help sell your home. Now's the time for a fresh coat of paint on the front door. Pressure-wash the grime off the porch with a machine you can rent at your local home and garden store, or pay someone to do it. A new welcome mat can cost you $25 or less. Potted flowers and a…

Outdoor restaurants are one of the many great things about living in South Florida. Here are a few of our favorite outdoor restaurants in Palm Beach County.

Waterway Café

Locals have been flocking to the Waterway Café for nearly 30 years, so they must be doing something right. The sun-drenched deck gives you a front-row seat to the Intracoastal, while thatched tiki huts offer plenty of shade (and adult beverages!). Order everything from steaks to sandwiches, or radio it in from your boat and take it to go for an authentic taste of life in The Palm Beaches.

  • Address: 2300 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410

Guanabanas

Guanabanas is, perhaps, the most popular restaurant in all of Jupiter. The palm-fringed patios, stone…
