The Allianz Championship gets under way this Friday at Broken Sound in Boca Raton and is headlined by eight members of the World Golf Hall of Fame. 

The first full field event of the 2016 season will feature 77 golfers, headlined by local Boca Resident and 2010 winner and World Golf Hall of Famer Bernhard Langer. Did you know that “Snook are one of the many reasons Florida is the Fishing Capital of the World?!”

The harvesting of the well-known snook season is back open today on February 1, 2016 in Florida’s Atlantic coastal and inland waterways. All along the clear and very beautiful coastline from Miami Dade/ Monroe county line and north which also includes Lake Okeechobee and the Kissimmee River.

Fisherman and anglers are allowed to keep only one snook per day that is not less than 28 inches or more than 32 inches in total length. (Must measure the snook from the most forward point of the head with the mouth closed to the farthest tip of the tail with the tail compressed or squeezed while the fish is lying on its side.)
