The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting several Lighthouse Sunset Tours this month. The Lighthouse reopened to visitors two months ago and their event calendar features a mix of events and tours.

On Wednesday nights during the month of August, the lighthouse hosts their weekly Lighthouse Sunset Tour. Visitors climb to the top of the Jupiter Lighthouse and witness the speculator Jupiter summer sunset and views of the town.

The tour includes a sneak peak inside the Lighthouse Watchroom to see how everything works and you’ll even get a chance to watch the light turn on to light up the sky. The tours last approximately one hour and tickets are required.

Palm Beach Gardens is a city in northern Palm Beach County that is home to roughly 56,300 residents and is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area. The city has a total area of 55,000 square miles and roughly two tenths of a mile features water.

Prior to becoming a city in 1969, Palm Beach Gardens was primarily cattle ranches and pine forests with swamp lands to the west. In 1959, the land was purchased by John D. MacArthur and he announced his plan to develop 4,000 acres and build homes for 55,000 people.   The Paws and Reels Fishing Tournament this past weekend involved more than just fishing. It raised money for Amber's Animal Outreach, and was a celebration of man's best friend as people from Northern Palm Beach County brought their rescue pups along for the festivities. This past weekend, Waterfront Properties was lucky enough to sponsor the Paws and Reels Fishing Tournament to fundraise for Amber’s Animal Outreach. Over 30 other companies sponsored or donated raffle gifts, and 20 boats registered for the first annual tournament.

Last Thursday, fishing teams and supporters gathered while Rob "The Fly" Navarro and Tournament Director Lacey Hagler went over rules and regulations, and a captain’s dinner was provided by Sailfish Marina.

On Saturday, boats fished from lines in at 6:30 am until scales closed at 2:30 pm in search of the biggest dolphin they could find. Team “Lunatico” earned first place with a 16 pounder caught by Judge Moss, Luke Rinehart aboard “Drink Like A Fish” won second place dolphin at 8.8…

The Juno Beach Fishing Pier is one of Palm Beach County’s popular attractions for both locals and visitors for great fishing and a great ocean view.

The fishing pier is a T-shaped and is 990-feet long. The pier offers visitors great saltwater fishing, a full-service Pier House that features snacks, drinks, bags of ices, a gift shop, fishing gear, tackles and fishing pole rentals to name a few.

Head to the beach this Saturday morning and join the team to help clean up the beach for the Jupiter Beach Clean Up.  The Beach Clean Up is being held by the Teach The Beach Foundation, an non-profit organization whose mission is to create awareness and educate the public about ways how they can conserve our local ocean and environment.

The Beach Clean Up is this Saturday, July 18th at Carlin Park at the Jupiter Civic Center. The Clean Up will begin at 9 am to 10:30 am and those who plan on attending are asked to bring a reusable bucket, a mask, and gloves.
