From now until Christmas Eve, you’ll have a convenient chance to support Big Dog Ranch Rescue while shopping for holiday gifts at the Gardens Mall. The non-profit organization has set up a Home For The Holidays “Pup-Up Shop” inside the Gardens Mall near Nordstrom.

This unique pet boutique offers plush stuffed animals, dog toys, ornaments, dog treats, leashes, collars, dog bowls, and even has puppies available for adoption! Proceeds benefit the Big Dog Ranch Rescue, a non-profit with the motto “Big and small, we save them all!”

This Saturday, Carlin Park in Jupiter will be hosting a local favorite Paws in the Park once again!

The pet-friendly event will be November 17th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is free and open to the public.

Bring your pup to experience a festival made for dogs with activities like dock jumping, a pet photo booth, a doggie lure racetrack, a puppy cool air zone, a pet costume contest, a pet talent contest, and even a pet psychic.

If you don’t have a furry friend, or just want more, stop by the “Take Me Home Zone” to adopt a new four-legged family member for the holidays. For humans, there will be live entertainment, beer, and great food.

The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center is anticipating 12 straight weeks of top equestrian competition beginning in January 2019. A competition sanctioned by the Fédération Equestre International (FEI), the highest level of jumping competitions in the sport, the Winter Equestrian Festival will run from January 9th through March 31st alongside top-rated hunter and equitation competition for many of the best riders in the world.

Cinquez Park, located at 2183 West Indiantown Road in Jupiter, is a new dog park which has joined other dog friendly “off leash” fun spots in addition to the beach.  Under the direction of their owners, a dog park is a safe place for dogs to exercise and play off-leash in a secure environment.  Most canine parks characteristically offer a 6' fence, separate gated entries for large and small breeds, water, shade for hot days and benches for humans.  The dog park should have regular maintenance and sanitizing of the grounds.

Sea turtles tell us the health of our oceans, and the oceans tell us the health of our planet. Loggerhead Marinelife Center(LMC) in Juno Beach is working diligently to conserve the health of our ocean ecosystems through public education, research, and rehabilitation with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. In 2019, they will break ground on their much needed expansion campaign, “Waves of Progress”.

Bring your little ones this weekend to trick-or-treat at Boo at the Zoo this Friday through Sunday. The Palm Beach Zoo is prepared with over 125,000 pieces of candy, a costume contest for ages 12 and under with WILD prizes, character meet and greets, a kids DJ, and animal encounters are imminent.

The costume contests will take place at noon and 6:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as noon on Sundays. Kids have the chance to win animal experiences and zoo memberships.

The Kid-Friendly DJ plays at Fountain Plaza 9am-3:30pm and 5pm-9pm.

A face painter will be in the Fountain Plaza 9am-3pm and 5pm-9pm.

On October 28th, show up ready to be overwhelmed with cuteness, or enter your pet in the Howl-O-Ween pet costume contest at CityPlace in Downtown West Palm Beach. Registration begins at 11am, and you must be registered by 11:45am in order to participate in the contest at noon.

 

There is a minimum $5 donation per pet, and four lucky finalists will win prizes.
