The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is asking for your help and to join in for a weekly beach cleanup. The Self-Guided Beach Cleanup is a new program that has been added to their calendar every Saturday morning.

During the month of August stop by the Marine Debris Sorting Station on the back deck of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to pick up your Beach Cleanup supplies. Once all the supplies have been picked up, head down to the beach and help keep our beaches clean. After the self-guided cleanup, bring your full bag of trash back to the sorting station and receive a free t-shirt for helping.

The Royal Poinciana Plaza is back open and is ready for your next visit. The Palm Beach Island outdoor shopping and lifestyle center have recently added a calendar list of events and next shops and restaurants to their directory.

The Royal is hosting an outdoor fitness series that will give you a chance to stay fit and healthy seven days a week. Every Monday through Sunday, the outdoor fitness class will get your moving, stretching, and sweating in their new fitness series.

Each day the class is taught by one of several partners to make each class different and fit into your fitness routine.  Fitness partners that have paired with The Royal Poinciana Plaza include Squeeze Pilates, Sculpted with Liv Fitness, and The Yoga Society Palm Beach.

Tequesta, a small quite village located in northern Palm Beach County surrounded by the blue waters of the intracoastal waterway and the Loxahatchee River. Tequesta is located just north of Jupiter along US Highway One and to the west of the Jupiter Inlet Colony.

Living in South Florida has its many benefits and for some, boating is a popular activity that happens every day. Since 2010, the state of Florida requires that any person who wishes to operate a vessel with more than ten horsepower or more and is born after January 1st, 1988 must complete and pass a boater safety course.

The state does not have a “Boating License” but a Boater Safety Identification Card stating that the course is completed and a successful score on the end of the class exam. Florida’s Boater Identification card is valid for life and no renewal fee’s or course renewal is required. The state and course instructors ask that you review your notes and keep up with the latest boating rules and regulations.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is busy planning and adding special events to their calendar.  Everyday during the month of August, the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center is hosting their Sunrise Nest Excavation.

The Sunrise Nest Excavation program is a chance for the center to give the public an opportunity to see inside the center’s research department. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center has gotten permission from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to led guest down to the beach every morning to discuss the hatching and nesting process of sea turtles.

The beaches of Juno Beach are monitored by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center during Sea Turtle Nesting season which runs from March to the end of October.…

• 1.5 oz melon Juice

• 1.5 oz Lemonade

• 5 oz Lemon Juice

• 5 oz Mint Simple

Summer is officially over for the students and teachers in Martin County School District. Classes will begin on Tuesday, August 11th. Parents and students in Martin County School District had the choice to decide whether they prefer virtual learning or classroom learning. Nearly 40% of students in Martin County chose to do virtual learning.

The superintendent of Martin County School District promises that students taking classes virtually will receive the same lessons as their friends and classmates inside the classroom. The only difference will be their location.

This August the Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society is offering kids free admission for every full-priced adult ticket. Two children under the age of 13 will be able to get into the zoo for free throughout the month of August.

The Palm Beach Zoo is home to hundreds of animals and species, many of them are endangered. The zoo features 23 acres of lush tropical habitat. Animals include monkey’s, alligators, birds, tigers, elephants, jaguars, bears, sloths, and much more.
