The Historic Jungle Trail winds for nearly 8 miles along a sandy road through the hammock habitat of Florida's barrier island north of Vero Beach in Martin County. The trail, really a hard-sandy road, and it is on the National Register of Historic Places. 

The historically significant trail was built in the 1920’s so that South Florida citrus growers could haul their produce up and down the barrier island.  The pathway ranges from Wabasso to the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge. Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration that is celebrated in Palm Beach County and all around the world with populations of African descendants. It is a holiday which celebrates and honors African culture in the worldwide African community. The Spady Museum in Delray Beach will be hosting a Kwanzaa Celebration, Saturday, December 28.  Kwanzaa arose from the Black Freedom Movement in 1966 in the United States. It was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga, a noted professor of Black Studies at California State University, Long Beach, CA. This holiday is celebrated from December 26th through January 1st.

The Honda Classic has been named the “Most Fan First Event” on the PGA Tour at the Annual Best Awards event this year. The Fan Friendly award was presented to The Honda Classic Golf Tournament that is held in Palm Beach Gardens every year.

The Honda Classic tournament made its move to Palm Beach Gardens PGA National Resort and Spa in 2007 and this is the second time the tournament was recognized by the PGA Tour for its excellence in fan engagement. Celebrate the holidays in style this year with Holiday Tea at the iconic Palm Beach Breaker’s Hotel.

The Holiday Tea will be served in the Henry Morrison Flagler room, named after the resort’s founder and key figure in the development of Palm Beach and Florida’s Atlantic Coast.

The afternoon Holiday Tea will also be serving handcrafted tea sandwiches, warm buttermilk scones, rose petal jam, delicates pastries, as well as a curated selected of teas. The menu will also feature specialty cocktails and other special items.

The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society teams up with Florida Power and Light for the holiday light display at the zoo. The light display is called Zoo Lights and happens every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Night during the month of December.

The new holiday tradition is for all and includes over one million eco-friendly holiday lights scattered around the Palm Beach Zoo. The holiday lights will be illuminated starting at 6 pm until 10 pm on certain nights during the week. The front entrance will feature unique themed displays of the Florida Wetlands and the Tropics of the Americas.

Zoo Lights also includes festive fun holiday activities, photos with Santa Claus, special animal encounters, Mrs. Claus’s Bake Shop and much more.
