Every Tuesday and Thursday the Pontiki boat sets out for a Sunset Cruise along the intracoastal waterways of Jupiter.

The pontoon Pontiki boat features a friendly captain that takes you to some of the best sightseeing spots in our area and stops along the way to find a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the water.

The sunset cruise take place on the boat Shaka, the newest and largest of the Pontiki fleet. The boat is a floating event venue that features all of the fun and Pontiki amenities including couches, a full bathroom, and can accommodate 40 guests. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is having their Inaugural Luminary Luncheon on Tuesday, April 16th at 12 pm.

The luncheon is hosted by the Lighthouse Luminaries who are ambassadors for the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. The Luminaries meet socially to promote and fundraise for the preservation for the iconic Jupiter Lighthouse and other buildings onsite.

The proceeds raised from the luncheon will support the painting of their interior and exterior of the Lighthouse which takes place every 10 years.
The Luncheon is taking place Tuesday, April 16th from 12 pm to 2:30 pm at new The Pelican Club located at 1065 North Highway A1A in Jupiter. The Honorary Co-Chairs for the event are Joe Namath and Charles Modica.

The Friends of Jupiter Beach are hosting a Beach Cleanup this Saturday. The Friends of Jupiter Beach has been organizing beach cleanups every month since 1994 and they are always on the first Saturday of the month.

Volunteers from more than 15 different area codes and all ages come to Jupiter to help remove the trash and recyclables from the beach. For those who attend and participate in the clean up there is always a continental breakfast and a “Thanks for coming” prizes.

The cleanup started when a small group of volunteers gathered together to pick up the trash from the beach, the cleanup now has evolved into over 200 volunteers every month. On average, more than 490 pounds of trash and recyclables are collected during the beach clean ups every month…

The Town of Jupiter is hosting their annual Coastal Fest 2019 this Saturday at Harbourside Place. The free family friendly event takes place along the intracoastal waterways on the Plaza down under The Riverwalk.

The coastal themed event features a kid’s treasure island filled with children’s activities, bounce houses, photo opportunities with a large pirate ship and pirates’ characters, local food vendors, beer and wine vendors, homemade crafts available for purchase and more.

The 34th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, one of the best and biggest boat shows in the country, is coming up this Thursday through Sunday.

The show will feature more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts and accessories, including hundreds of boats ranging from 8-foot inflatables to super yachts nearly 300 feet in length. Lighthouses have guided mariners along Florida’s coast for centuries. Many do not know that Florida is home to 30 historic lighthouses, many of them are nearly a century old themselves with the oldest dating back to 1838. There were several others but over the years have fallen victim to erosion, fires, storms, and demolition.

The lighthouses range in height from 28 feet high to 175 feet high, almost half of the remaining historic lighthouses in Florida are over 100 feet tall. The Lighthouses are now operated by the Coast Guard but that wasn’t always the case. The federal Lighthouse Service and the Coast Guard merged in 1939 and today many of the Lighthouses have been preserved and are open to the public to tour and visit.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their reoccurring Lighthouse Moonrise Tour this Wednesday, March 20th at 6:45 pm.

Guests who attend the Moonrise Tour will learn about the history of the Jupiter Lighthouse while enjoying the views of Jupiter and the full moon in the sky. The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes and the tours are weather permitting. Be sure to check their website for more information for updates.

The tour costs $25 dollars per person and $20 dollars per person for Lighthouse Members. Tickets are required and can be purchased online. All are welcomed to attend, and children must be at least 48 inches tall to climb the 105 steps to the top of the tower.

Replicas of Christopher Columbus’ Ships the Pinta and the Nina are coming to Harbourside Place in Jupiter for a week. Starting Friday, March 29th through Sunday, April 7th the ships will be docked at Harbourside Place for tours.

The Nina replica was built by hand and is considered to be the most historically correct and accurate replica of Columbus’ ships. The length of the ship is 65 feet long and the beam is 18 feet wide. Columbus sailed the Nina across the Atlantic Ocean on three voyages to the New World in 1492. Today, the replica is a floating museum and visits ports all over the Western Hemisphere.

The Pinta replica was built in 2005 and was launched in Brazil and made to accompany Nina on off the voyages. The Pinta is a larger ship at 85 feet…
