The gingerbread man has become synonymous with Christmas. But how did cookies come to be such an important symbol of Christmas?  Gingerbread was a restricted food, laws restricted its baking to guildsman, however at the holidays these regulations were relaxed, and people could bake gingerbread in their own at home, making it a very special once a year treat!

3  tablespoons mild molasses

¼  cup all-purpose flour

 Timelier than ever in West Palm Beach, this is the third year for the event for Lights 4 Hope, and it may be the season’s best reprieve for holiday celebrations during the pandemic.  The holiday event, drive through light show, is a COVD-19 friendly event. The money raised goes to a good cause. Proceeds will aid in purchasing decorations and gifts for children who are hospitalized during the holiday season. Recognizing the growing demands and complexities nurses are facing, Palm Health Foundation and the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens have joined together to offer to healthcare heroes a day of relaxation and tranquility through the gardens. Experience a snowy South Florida this holiday season. Rosemary Square, in West Palm Beach, will feature a nightly snowfall on the square along with The Wishing Tree lightshow. Rosemary Square is the lifestyle center formerly known as CityPlace. The snow shall continue to fall until December 31. Snow and lightshows begin at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm, and no reservations are required. 

The LED banyan tree in the center of Rosemary Square is just the beginning of sights in West Palm Beach’s entertainment hub. A brand new dining and market complex in Jupiter will have a familiar face backing the investment. Joe Namath, the famous Super Bowl winning quarterback of the New York Jets, and developer Charles Modica make up the power duo behind "Charlie and Joe's at Love Street".
