The Town of Jupiter and the Village of Tequesta are nestled between Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart. Both areas cater to the outdoor style, as they wrap around the Loxahatchee River and Intracoastal Waterway, which provide incomparable views to residents. For this reason, water sports and boating are abundant. Jupiter and Tequesta also offer their share of championship golf courses and pristine beaches frequented often under consistently sunny skies.

Many that live in Jupiter, Florida are acquainted with the story of Henry Flagler’s railroad which converted to the Florida East Coast Railroad. The train depot served the public well for many years since the year of 1915!

The 22-by-53 foot historic train depot is now situated at Sawfish Bay Park in Jupiter with very close proximity to its original location and was famous for a stopping point throughout the early days of Flagler’s railroad. The proposal is to turn the 1915 Henry Flagler train depot into a museum and to be rented by civic groups, all this was endorsed on Tuesday by the Town Council. There will be nice weather in the forecast just in time for the weekend. Get excited to take a trip offshore this weekend as those that put in time and cover some water will have the best luck!

OFFSHORE- “The best action offshore right now is (for the most part) inside of 200' of water from Palm Beach to Jupiter Inlet.  The kingfish showed up in big numbers this week (as did the commercial fishing fleet) off of Jupiter Inlet.  Drifting live sardines and threadfin herring is the ticket for catching the kings right now, but in a pinch or as a backup a dead sardine on a knocker rig will usually get the job done.” As you are drifting offshore, there could be some late season sail fish and potential to hook up on blackfin tuna. Mutton snappers and cobia may…

Fishing Outlook 4.17.15

OFFSHORE: The South Florida fishing action out deep has been a bit scattered far offshore. Closer in, is where you will find the best fishing action for the springtime. The sailfish bite seemed to slow down a bit due to the lack of current and greener waters. That could change any day as the current changes. The Cobia bite is really good in areas of the sand pile. Lots of fish around South Florida, especially near shallower wrecks in the 70’-90’ foot range. Live baits work outstanding such as crabs, pilchards, pinfish, mullet and shrimp.  On the deep side of the Juno Beach, Florida 180' ledge where is a mixed bag of fish and rudder fish and blue runners have tackled the area. Dolphin are caught and scattered among the frigate birds…

Looks like an enjoyable weather forecast coming up for the weekend! The winds are Southeast and the South Florida waters are getting prepped up for the springtime fish bite!

OFFSHORE- The action has definitely perked up for the springtime! The dolphin bite has been great on all the South Florida Inlets and in theory should continue to do well through the weekend. jack-nicklaus_314_04

For golfers, a hole-in-one is kind of the holy grail of the sport. It's something we all achieve for but is almost impossible to actually achieve.

Don't tell that to Jack Nicklaus.

Competing in the annual Masters Par 3 Contest on Wednesday with playing partners Gary Player and Ben Crenshaw, who filled in for the still injured Arnold Palmer, the North Palm Beach resident recorded a hole-in-one on the fourth hole after hitting his shot 15 feet past the hole and watching it spin back and in the cup.

Making it even more special was the fact that it was the first time Nicklaus ever recorded an ace at Augusta National in any facet. Before yesterday he had never done it in a recreational, practice, or tournament round.

Here is a video of the…
