The Town of Jupiter and the Village of Tequesta are nestled between Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart. Both areas cater to the outdoor style, as they wrap around the Loxahatchee River and Intracoastal Waterway, which provide incomparable views to residents. For this reason, water sports and boating are abundant. Jupiter and Tequesta also offer their share of championship golf courses and pristine beaches frequented often under consistently sunny skies.

For those who care about nutrition, taste and quality of their fruits, vegetables, meats and poultry, local farms are selling through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships.  With a significant shift in nutrition awareness, genetically modified and processed foods have become less desirable.  There is a huge misconception that local organic fruits and vegetables are more expensive.  CSA memberships and community plots keep costs down.

CSA's generally focus on the production of high quality foods for a local community, often using organic or biodynamic farming methods, and a shared risk membership–marketing structure.  The essential design includes developing a consistent consumer group that is willing to fund a whole season’s budget in…

Try something different and go stargazing!  Experience the natural beauty that is the South Florida night sky.  Stargazing is the simply the act of observing stars, moons, planets and other objects in the night sky.  Humans have been observing the stars for thousands of years.  All that is needed is a clear sky away from the bright lights of the city.  Aficionados bring charts, binoculars and telescopes to see distant stars and constellations.

There are 88 constellations that can be seen from almost anywhere in the United States, but not all at once.  As the Earth makes its orbit, the placement of stars in the sky appears to move.

This weekend, telescopes are scheduled to be set up for the public to…

Golf has always been a staple and draw to the state of Florida. The year round sun and weather, plus the sprawling landscape has made it the perfect destination for golfers around the world for centuries. Routinely, Florida has been called the capital of the golf world. And if Florida really is that capital, well then the capital is thriving more now than arguably any time in the past.

A recent study shows that the game of golf has an $8.2 billion economic impact in Florida. That's more than amusement and theme parks like Disney, Epcot, Universal, and Bush Gardens (they bring in $5.4 billion annually), as well as medical equipment and supplies manufacturing ($6.5 billion). When you consider the indirect and induced activity driven by golf, that…

South Florida welcomes the Delray Beach Open by The Venetian Las Vegas to Delray Beach February 13-22, 2015.  This 10 day ATP Champions Tour and ATP World Tour is televised internationally in over 125 countries and draws over 50,000 tennis enthusiasts as spectators.

Game, set match all begin with “love”.  “Love being the term for zero is one of the most celebrated puzzles in tennis,” said Ossian Shine, author of “The Language of Tennis.” Shine pointed to the game’s roots, 12th century France, a game called “real tennis”. The server would reportedly shout “tenez” — take heed, like “fore” in golf — which led to the sport’s name. “L’oeuf” means egg in French, and because an egg looks like a zero, some believe English mispronunciations changed the word…
