The Town of Jupiter and the Village of Tequesta are nestled between Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart. Both areas cater to the outdoor style, as they wrap around the Loxahatchee River and Intracoastal Waterway, which provide incomparable views to residents. For this reason, water sports and boating are abundant. Jupiter and Tequesta also offer their share of championship golf courses and pristine beaches frequented often under consistently sunny skies.

On Saturday, January 24th, 2015, the 9th Annual Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival will be held at Roger Dean Stadium at Abacoa. It is during this time that guests will be able to try out many different kinds of brews, both local and national.

The festival itself was started by Fran Andrewlevish, founder of Tequesta Brewing Company, and brewers from all over the state agree that it’s not only the best beer festival in Florida, but also home to the largest variety of hand-crafted beer. Years ago, when the Festival first started, Andrewlevish was forced to beg some of the finest craft breweries in the nation to bring samples, and at the time, there were only about 26 brewers in Florida. Whereas only 1200 people attended the event then, now the initial 1500…

There is always something fun going on at The Square Grouper.

Jim Burg, the owner and manager of The Square Grouper, is looking to create another slice of paradise on the water off the south side of Fort Pierce Inlet, 1920 Seaway Drive in Saint Lucie County. He…

Cool breezes are in the forecast as the winter cold fronts decided to roll through South Florida and hopefully keep the fishing patterns more consistent and less scattered.

OFFSHORE- Update on the Silver Sailfish Derby that took place last week caught over a dozen sailfish in just two days and Yellowfin that was a 138 pounds! Their trick of hooking on to so many sailfish is that they chose to make longer runs up the line and look for the sails trolling with small naked ballyhoo and dredges. The teams with live bait stayed closer to home, spotting a few sailfish in 120’ – 160’ feet of water from the Jupiter Inlet to the Juno Beach Pier. The beginning of the week went well for anglers searching for sailfish however, as the week went on the warmer the…

The local housing market is kicking off the New Year with substantial price increases, scarce inventory levels and bidding battles between buyers much like last year’s trend. However, experts and analysts are expecting this boom to stabilize at some point mid-year. These experts are calling this year’s market trends “the first full year of normal following a decade of extremes.”

Don’t be confused by these “normal” predictions. Normal is a very positive description for this market. Bill Hardin, the director of the Hollo…
