The Tequesta Firefighters are in competition to win the Chili Cook-off and Tequesta Brewery Company is hosting the beer tastings. The 4th Annual Tequesta Firefighter and TBC Chili Cook-off and Beer Tasting should unquestionably be on your list of things to do this weekend, all to benefit WWII veterans.

This enjoyable event will be held on November 8, 2014 at Paradise Park in Tequesta, Florida. It will feature a firefighter chili competition, live music and entertaining activities. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME…SET CLOCKS BACK THIS WEEKEND

Daylight Savings Time (DST) is this weekend, which means we get an extra hour of sleep this Sunday morning.  Plan on turning your clocks back an hour at 2:00am, Sunday, November 2, 2014.  Most smartphones, computers and cable television box connections will do this automatically.

This will mark the beginning of Standard Time.  Standard time means we will have one less hour of daylight in the evening for the next four months through March 8. The days will lengthen and transition back to Daylight Savings Time in the spring. 

If you get confused, remember the phrase “spring forward, fall back”.

ReelAbilities Film Festival…November 2 – 5, 2014

ReelAbilities, the nation’s largest film festival dedicated to stories of people with disabilities, makes its Palm Beach debut from Nov. 2-5 at the Mandel JCC in Palm Beach Gardens and will continue with presentations in various venues, including The Alpert Jewish Family and Children’s Service (AJFCS), Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Service and Scripps Research Institute. CATO’S BRIDGE BEACH

Cato’s Beach Bridge, as the locals know it, is a sandy white shoreline, near the Jupiter Lighthouse, and just north of the bridge, is quite possibly one of the most outstanding natural areas in the state.  Located along the west side of the Intracoastal Waterway and south of the Jupiter Inlet Bridge, this “swimming hole” stays crystal clear all day!
