Fishing Report 9.26.14

South Florida’s weather forecast for the weekend is predicted to have scattered thunderstorms. Be prepared if you are out on the boat this weekend and plan your route wisely in case a storm decides to roll your way. The fishing pressure has been very light offshore with a very few fisherman out on the water for most of the week.

OFFSHORE-
Those fishermen who did find a break in the clouds and were able to go offshore over the past week reported that the Dolphin are still spread out in deeper waters. Most of the Mahi-Mahi are swimming near patches of grass and the birds were the best sight locators. South Florida’s 2014-2015 surf season arises on September 27, 2014 at Jupiter Beach, Florida. The first Eastern Surfing Association, ESA, contest of the year will be funded by Ocean Magic Surf Shop. Don French, owner of Ocean Magic surf shop in Jupiter, stated: “He started competing in the ESA at age 14 and he enjoys supporting this ESA surf family and appreciates the business.”

The ESA Palm Beach County hosts tournaments every year, launching in the fall and finishes up in January. The ESA was established by east coast surfers in 1967 and preserves a solid voice in the surfing community. There are a lot of national and international competition opportunities for surfers of all ages.

Ballet Palm Beach  celebrates its 14th season with highlighting classical and inventive works.  On the performance calendar for the upcoming season are Giselle, The Nutcracker, Simple Symphony and Other Works, and Wonderland.

In 2001, Collen Smith began  Ballet Palm Beach under the name Florida Classical Ballet.  They performed only one ballet a year, The Nutcracker.  Thrilling developments and invaluable staff members have given way to positive changes.  Ballet Palm Beach is now comprised of fifteen dancers: six trainees and nine professionals.
