On October 19th, a friend of Kristin Deaton of Jupiter, Florida was in town visiting after the unexpected passing of her mother, and accidentally dropped a very sentimental ring into the intracoastal at the marina behind U-Tiki Beach.

“This is the longest of long shots, but I believe in the good in people, and I need people to please SHARE this.” Deaton wrote on Facebook, “If anyone in the Jupiter area finds this VERY sentimental ring, PLEASE contact me. This Orange Cinnamon Smash is the perfect Florida cocktail with a taste of Fall. Enjoy! 

Ingredients

1 Cinnamon Stick

1/2 teaspoon Orange Zest zest of half an orange

60 ml Whisky

30 ml Orange juice

Soda or sparkling water to top it up

1-2 Orange Slices

Instructions

Break the cinnamon stick into pieces and add them to a shaker. Add orange zest and juice and muddle it up. Add whisky and orange juice and shake it.

Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards are out, and two Palm Beach resorts were voted Florida’s best! Out of 30 properties who received an award, Eau Palm Beach earned third place on the list of “Top Florida Resorts”, and The Breakers came in at the number 12 position.
