Fox Club in Palm City to Host Charity Golf Event

The eighth annual Golf for Wildlife golf tournament will be held at The Fox Club in Palm City on Friday, May 24. The event, hosted by the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center is among the most exclusive tournaments in the area.

The tournament will be hosted by long time supporter Glen Hess and the Vicki Hess Foundation and will benefit the wildlife center's misson to rehabilitate and return sick and injured wild animals to their natural environment.

The Treausre Coast Wildlife Center treats thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals each year and serves Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Palm Beach Counties. THEY’RE BACK! IT’S SEA TURTLE SEASON

Our area is unlike any other and they are just like us. They cannot get enough of our natural, undisturbed beaches and neither can we!  Its sea turtle season and one of the most exciting times of the year for sea turtle lovers.  Every year thousands of sea turtle dig nests on John D. MacArthur Beach State Park in North Palm Beach, making it one of the highest density nesting beaches in Florida.

The season actually started in late March when the Leatherback sea turtles make their first appearance of the year. Then in April, our most abundant nesters, the Loggerhead sea turtles (Waterfront Properties favorite and insignia) appear. Plant A Tree & Celebrate Arbor Day in Lake Park April 26!

This Friday at 10:30am in Lake Park, the town is hosting a beautiful celebration for Arbor Day. Beginning in the morning locals from the community and students from different schools will come out to Flagler Boulevard to plant new trees. Tree City USA has donated the seedlings and students will graciously bring the soil to preserve the presence of our trees for future generations. The mayor, James Dubois, will commence the ceremony with some words about our trees and food and drinks will be available to all that want to partake. People from Stuart to Palm Beach Gardens will come out to plant new trees.
