January Events At The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse sits on top of a grassy mount overlooking Jupiter and the Inlet. The red lighthouse has been a part of Jupiter’s culture since it began construction in 1853. Today the lighthouse is open 7 days a week and hosts a series of events throughout the week.

Here is a list of events happening at the lighthouse this January.

Lighthouse Sunset Tour: Wednesday, January 16th, January 23rd, and January 30th
Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse and take in the wonderful views while watching the light turn on to brighten the sky. You’ll also be able to tour the lighthouse watch room to see how everything works. The tour is approximately 75 minutes and costs $20 dollars per person and $15 dollars for Lighthouse members. The…

Hobe Sound's Food Truck Invasion

Mark your calendars for the 3rd Saturday Gourmet Food Truck Event this Saturday, January 19th in downtown Hobe Sound.

The large block party brings DJ Jef of DancenSound, beverages, local shops and vendors and of course unique food trucks. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a night of fun under the stars. The Hobe Sound Food Truck events occur on the 3rd Saturday of every month until May and then September 2019 through November 2019. The cost is free to attend.

The lineup of Food Trucks for Saturday’s event includes: Volcano Ice, The Greek, Mr. Mack Island Grill, Mr. Jerkinz, Moop Pops Foodtruck, MOD Pizza, Mama’s Taste of the World, Hooked, Curbside Gourmet, Chick Fil A, Che Grill, and Austin Franks.

Orange Theory Fitness of Delray Beach has teamed up with local brewery Saltwater Brewery to host the 2nd annual Burn N Brew 5K!

This run is a fun and exciting way to start off the new year with some physical exercise, amazing craft beers and socialize with fun people in the community.

Located at the Saltwater Brewery, registration starts at 4 p.m. on January 20th, 2019 or ahead of time. There is a $5 required donation to this month's community outreach charity - Community Greening.

The Maltz Theatre In Jupiter Is Expanding

The Maltz Theatre in Jupiter is in the process of fundraising $32 Million over the next few years to complete a large expansion of the historic building. That goal got one step closer last week with a $5 million matching gift from Milton and Tamar Maltz, after whom the theater is named.

The not-for-profit Theatre has proposed an expansion that will improve production facilities within the next five years. Under the current plan, the Theatre’s improved stage will be ten feet deeper and six feet wider on either side, enabling the Theatre to qualify for pre-Broadway and national tours. A third-floor rehearsal studio will provide actors with a view, and residents will have the opportunity to see actors working and rehearsing.
