Every Saturday the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach hosts free lessons on their beautiful property.

The center in West Palm is the largest in the world. It has a 19,000 square-foot Caribbean-Colonial-style clubhouse, verandas overlooking four acres of lush gardens, an elegant ballroom, restaurant and more.

Free lessons are on Saturdays at 10 a.m. A professional instructor will teach you how to hit the ball, score wickets, learn strategy and plot moves. You can invite your friends to have a nice morning game of croquet and have lunch at the Croquet Grille afterward.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular Hike Through History this Saturday May 5th.

The hike includes a 2-mile journey through the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Natural Conservation Area to discover the history and nature of the historic Jupiter site. The site is just one of three natural sites in the United States that is protected by the Bureau of Land Management’s National Conservation Lands Programs. Tuesday, May 8th the Natural Conservation Area turns 10 years old and the Lighthouse is hosting several events to celebrate such as fishing, art, and photography. Click here to view the activities.

The Coral Sky Amphitheater located at the South Florida Fair Grounds is an open-air music venue located in West Palm Beach. The amphitheater is used for concerts and shows featuring some of the biggest music stars and events.

The venue recently changed its name from the Perfect Vodka Amphitheater to the Coral Sky Amphitheater last year. The amphitheater is run and operated by Live Nation, the world’s largest event promoter and venue operator. If going to a sweat-filled gym doesn't sound appealing to you, try Workout Wednesdays at CityPlace for a fun, outdoor group activity varying from yoga to Zumba. 

Every last Wednesday of the month, CityPlace hosts a free workout on the plaza featuring different workouts taught by certified trainers from L.A. Fitness and Fitness Hub.

If you've never participated in a group class, this is a good way to try it out before you pay money somewhere else.

Workouts are from 6-7 p.m. Wear workout clothes, bring some water and a yoga mat. Invite your friends and hang around CityPlace afterward- most stores are open until 10 and the restaurants and bars are open late.

Within the next several months, CityPlace in West Palm Beach will undergo renovations to update the 18-year-old outdoor entertainment and shopping center. The Mediterranean style venue will begin its transformation to a more comfortable, flexible design with more plants and vegetation.

The plans which call for the city’s approval include plant filled trellises, walkways covered by large shade sails, a curb-less Rosemary Avenue to slow and narrow the traffic. SunFest is Florida’s largest waterfront art and music festival held annually in West Palm Beach. Each May, more than 175,000 concert goers come together to see the popular four-day festival featuring some of the world’s biggest and hottest musical acts perform live. SunFest is coming to Palm Beach County this May 3rd through May 6th.

More than 50 musical acts will perform on three stages throughout the four days as well as an Art District featuring colorful artwork from local artists, live demonstrations, ChillZones with games like corn hole, great food, floating bars, kid’s activities, and a firework show to end the festival.

As snow birds head north and tourism slows, the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is starting a new discount program called MOSAIC, which offers low rates and coupons for local attractions and resorts. 

MOSAIC is an acronym for "month of shows, art, ideas, and culture" and will run May 1st-31st. The goal is to encourage residents to visit the area's museums, science centers, galleries, etc. Some coupons include free admission to concerts and performances, 50% off tickets to places like the Kravis Center, and 2-for-1 deals like entry into Mounts Botanical Gardens.

The Town of Jupiter and the Jupiter Police Department are hosting their annual Coastal Fest on the Riverwalk at Harbourside Place this upcoming weekend. The family friendly coastal themed event is taking place Saturday, April 28th from noon to 5 pm in Jupiter.
