The South Florida Science Center and Florida Atlantic University’s Brain Institute have just opened the world’s most advanced neuroscience exhibit. The exhibit will inspire a new generation of technologists, scientists and medical professionals.

The exhibit is called Journey Through The Human Brain and features the latest high-tech displays, state of the art equipment, innovations and immersive experiences and installations. The exhibit is a 2,500 square foot permanent exhibition located in the West Wing of the Science Center. The development has been in progress for the past 3 years and the exhibit is now open to the public.

The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society is a non-profit zoological organization located in West Palm Beach in Dreher Park. The Zoo is home to more than 550 animals, many of them are endangered and roam with the parks 23 acres of tropical habitat.

The summer, the Palm Beach Zoo is hosting their Unlimited Summer Safari Savings Pass. The pass includes free unlimited daytime visits from May 1st through September 30th when you buy one full price admission ticket. If you purchase your tickets online during this time, you will able to receive your Summer Pass at the admissions booth upon arrival to the zoo.

Palm Beach Zoo: Go Wild at the Summer Zoo Camp. Those who attend will get an up-close encounter with the animals, behind the scenes tours, arts and crafts, educational activities, science experiments and much more. The Summer Camp for ages 5 to 10 years old starts on June 3rd through August 9th, Monday through Friday. The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center have partnered together to create the Turtle Wars event at the stadium on Saturday, June 1st.

Turtle Wars is an event going on during the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Daytona Tortugas baseball game and helps promote sea turtle and ocean conservation with benefits going to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

For the game, the Jupiter Hammerheads will be changing their name to the Loggerheads. The Loggerheads will also feature a new jersey that will have loggerhead turtles on them in bright orange and blue colors.

This Saturday marks the first summer Turtle Walk hosted by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The Turtle Walk is a unique program that allows visitors to observe and learn about the nesting and egg laying process of sea turtles that nest along the shores of Juno Beach.

The night is designated to a special section of the beach where the sea turtle nests are. Guests who attend will receive a brief presentation on the sea turtles and get to experience an after-hour tour to view the turtles housed in the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Once a loggerhead sea turtle is found on the beach and begins the egg laying process, the group is led down to the beach by Marinelife staff to witness the process.

The waterfront of downtown West Palm Beach transforms into their annual Summer In Paradise, filled with special events, free things to do and waterfront concerts, and much more all summer long.

The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is hosting their new summer exhibit, Rainforest Adventure. The rainforests are one of Earth’s least known habitats and the rainforests are filled with mysteries, sounds, and creatures waiting to be discovered.

Those who attend, travel through a giant indoor maze with interactive experiences, treasures and secrets of the rainforest. By the time you are finished traveling through the maze you’ll have a better understanding of how humans impact the rainforests and how you can help to make a difference.

The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens is the former residence of sculptor Ann Weaver Norton. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located on 2 acres near downtown West Palm Beach. The historic home and gardens feature a collection of 250 species of tropical palms.

Throughout the home, studio and gardens there is more than 100 pieces of art made by Norton herself. Some of the pieces of artwork include: 9 monumental sculptures, eight in brick and one in granite. The Norton Gardens is the largest tract of garden containing the great brick sculptures that are designed in a natural and unmanicured style.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers their daily Public Guided Tours of the Sea Turtle Research and Rehabilitation Center. The tours are offered seven days a week and visitors will get an up-close opportunity to see the Marinelife and sea turtles housed in the center.

The Public Guided Tours are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend. The tours last approximately an hour long. The next tour is today, Tuesday, May 21st at 2 pm.

The tours are led by the educational experts and staff of the Marinelife Center to answer all of your questions about the sea turtles and Marinelife.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is preparing to release another sea turtle into the ocean this Wednesday, May 22nd. The sea turtle research and rehabilitation center plan on release Corwin at 10:30 am.

Corwin was found on the beach in Juno Beach in September and is a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle. Corwin was found struggling in the surf on Juno Beach. After the staff from the center was contacted, Corwin was brought in and was underweight and in poor health. During its stay, the sea turtle received nutrition, iron and antibiotics and was closely monitored by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s staff. Earlier this month, Corwin was taken off of all medications and is now ready to be released back into the ocean.
