Tonight, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting its weekly Twilight Yoga at the Light.

Come and experience Yoga with Mary Veal on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset. The event occurs every Monday unless otherwise noted. The Yoga class is for all levels of yoga and all are welcomed and encouraged to join in.

The class costs $10 dollars per person and you are asked to bring your own yoga mat, a water bottle, and a flashlight. The class starts at 7 pm tonight and you are asked to meet 10 minutes prior to the start of the class at the Lighthouse Museum.

The Juno Beach Pier and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center are hosting their 5th Annual Juno Beach Pier Photo Contest. Submissions will be accepted for the perfect photo of the Juno Beach Pier until Friday, May 31st

The Juno Beach Pier is a treasured icon in Palm Beach County and the pier is used by fishermen and women, tourists and locals who just want to get a good view of the ocean or catch some of the best fish in our area.

Last year, the contest brought contestants from all over Palm Beach County and more than 80 photo submissions and the photos got over 40,000 views on Facebook.

The Summer Green Markets in Palm Beach Gardens have officially started on May 12th and will run until the end of September.

The Gardens Green Market is a rain or shine event and features some of the freshest fruits, vegetables, honey, herbs, homemade breads, pastries, homemade crafts and much more. The Green Market is a local farmers market and public event filled with art, entertainment and food.

The Gardens Green Markets occur every Sunday from now until September 29th at the STORE Self Storage and Wine Storage Center at 11010 N. Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens.

The second phase of the Clematis Streetscape project launched last week, Monday, May 7th. The second phase of the project will redesign the 200 and 100 blocks of Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. The project is estimated to cost 7.25 million and will prioritizes outdoor dining space and pedestrian areas over cars.

The new redesign will look similar to the 300 block of Clematis Street which was completed last year with curb-less sidewalks, pavers instead of pavement, wider sidewalks, and fewer parking spaces to leave room for outdoor dining space.

The second phase is expected to be completed by the end of the year and the project will be paid with the money from the Community Redevelopment Agency bonds. The construction began at 9 am on Monday, May…

The Club Scrub is hosting a free “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day” this Sunday, May 19th at the Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The biking event starts at 9 am and goes until 1 pm at the Camp Murphy Off-Road Mountain Bike Trails.

The event features guided trail rides for all ages, a variety of biking trails for all skill levels, a free family barbeque lunch, snacks, beverages, raffles and goodie bags. They hosted the same event in the fall and the biking day had over 350 kids participated in November’s event. The purpose of the event is kids and their families to the joy of mountain biking.

On the third Saturday of every month, a group of Blue Friends and Lynne Wells join together for a beach clean-up in Juno Beach.

The clean up begins at 8:30 am this Saturday and following the 1 hour clean up a light breakfast will be provided by Whole Foods in Palm Beach Gardens and Another Broken Egg Café in Jupiter. Free coffee will be provided by Oceana Coffee.

The local beach cleanup started years ago when a group of volunteers gathered to pick up trash from the beach. Now the clean up has grown and over 200 volunteers come together several times a month to help keep our beaches and ocean clean from trash. More than 490 pounds are collected from our local beaches every month.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” and the River Center in Jupiter have teamed up again for another Boating Safety Class this Saturday, May 18th. The safety classes are aimed for young boaters and teens but all are welcomed to attend the boating safety class.

The classes are taught in a lecture style learning and at the end of the class, those who attend are required to take and pass the boater safety test to receive their Boater Safety Card issued by the State of Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conversation Commission. The State of Florida requires that any person born after January 1st, 1988, and who wishes to operate a vessel of 10 horsepower or more must pass a Boater’s Safety Course and received their Boater Safety Card.

The Jupiter Dive Center and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center have partnered together for a Sea Turtle Awareness Class as part of their ProjectAWARE bringing awareness to Marinelife. The class is this Saturday, May 11th from 10 am to 5 pm.

The Sea Turtle Awareness specialty course introduces scuba divers to the basic sea turtle identification and conservation. In the class you’ll learn about the preservation of the aquatic environment and about the sea turtle species common in our ocean. The class will also teach you about the skills and knowledge needed to record sightings, identify the sea turtles, the importance of sea turtles and other Marinelife, and the decline in sea turtle populations.

The River Center in Jupiter is hosting their family friendly event this Wednesday, May 8th. The Sandbar and Seashells Family Boating Tour and Snorkeling Exploration for a trip along the Loxahatchee River.

The boat will launch from the Burt Reynold’s Park on US Highway 1 at 1:30 pm. Climb aboard the Osprey boat to hunt for shells and Marinelife at the sandbar, soak up the sun and snorkel along the sandbar and waters.

Those who attend are asked to bring your own water shoes, water, snacks, and snorkel gear. The event is this Wednesday, May 8th form 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Registration is required due to space. The cost to attend is $30 dollars for adults and $20 dollars for children. To register, click here.

This Wednesday, May 8th, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Mother’s Day Blooms event to benefit the Jupiter Lighthouse.

Bring your sister, mom, or best friend to the event to celebrate the special day with a fun filled flower workshop. At the event you’ll learn how to make your own flower arrangements and will be able to take home your flower arrangement at the end of the event. A light afternoon tea will be served.

The event starts at 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm in the lighthouse’s Quarterdeck Room. Tickets are $65 dollars per person and a portion of your ticket price will be donated to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum.
