The Club Scrub is hosting a free “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day” this Sunday, May 19th at the Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The biking event starts at 9 am and goes until 1 pm at the Camp Murphy Off-Road Mountain Bike Trails.
The event features guided trail rides for all ages, a variety of biking trails for all skill levels, a free family barbeque lunch, snacks, beverages, raffles and goodie bags. They hosted the same event in the fall and the biking day had over 350 kids participated in November’s event. The purpose of the event is kids and their families to the joy of mountain biking.
The event is free, and you can register online. If you register online by May 10th you will be guaranteed a goodie bag. Kids and adults must have their own bikes, helmets and closed toed shoes to participate and children must be accompanied by an adult. The Jonathan Dickinson State Park entrance fee is $ 6 dollars per vehicle up to 8 people.
