If you are from Jupiter or Palm Beach County you can probably reminisce about your memories splashing in the water and swimming through the natural lagoon that is DuBois Park. Many of us have had picnics and long summer days at this iconic Jupiter beach park, but did you know how significant DuBois historically?  

Dubois Park is the site of the Harry and Susan Dubois Pioneer Home.  It is the second oldest house standing in Palm Beach County.  This historic icon of Jupiter was made of Florida pine and had cypress shingles; which over the years were replaced with cedar shingles. There is an ancient sport that is making a comeback in South Florida that is called Dragon Boat Racing. Imagine paddling with a lot of upper physical strength just after undergoing treatments and/ or overcoming breast cancer. In Palm Beach County, dragon boating is regaining popularity and is quickly becoming a movement that is impacting breast cancer survivor’s spirits!

If you never heard of dragon boating, it is one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. It is a team paddling water sport that has its roots in a folk ritual of villagers originally from Southern China.
