Jupiter is ranked as one of the country’s most pleasant and livable coastal cities. Jupiter was incorporated in 1925 as a city in Northern Palm Beach County and is part of the northern Miami metropolitan area.

Jupiter lies between Lake Okeechobee to the west and the tropical Bahamas to the east and is full of beautiful beaches, great schools, award winning restaurants, cultural and natural attractions and much more.

Take your boat to the movies. This Saturday, September 12th the Futures Recovery Healthcare partnered with the Jupiter Pointe Club and Marina for the first local boat-in movie theater. The event is to honor the second annual Jupiter Recovery Day.

Jupiter Recovery Day is an annual event founded by the Tequesta based Futures that honors and celebrates recovery from mental health and substance use disorders in the local community. All proceeds from this weekend’s event will benefit and be donated to Believe With Me, a local charity supporting families of fallen soldiers. The event is open to the public.

Every month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum hosts their reoccurring and popular Lighthouse Sunset Tour. Head to the lighthouse in Jupiter on Wednesday nights this September and join in on the fun.

The Sunset Tour includes a tour of the lighthouse watch room to see how everything works, a chance to watch the light turn on and illuminate the Jupiter sky and a climb to the top of the lighthouse tower to see the incredible views.

The tour is approximately one hour and cost $25 dollars per person or $20 dollars per lighthouse member. Tickets are limited and must be purchased prior to the tour. Children are welcomed to attend the Lighthouse Sunset Tour and must be 48 inches tall or taller to climb the 105 steps to the top of the Lighthouse.

Tequesta, a small quite village located in northern Palm Beach County surrounded by the blue waters of the intracoastal waterway and the Loxahatchee River. Tequesta is located just north of Jupiter along US Highway One and to the west of the Jupiter Inlet Colony.

Living in South Florida has its many benefits and for some, boating is a popular activity that happens every day. Since 2010, the state of Florida requires that any person who wishes to operate a vessel with more than ten horsepower or more and is born after January 1st, 1988 must complete and pass a boater safety course.

The state does not have a “Boating License” but a Boater Safety Identification Card stating that the course is completed and a successful score on the end of the class exam. Florida’s Boater Identification card is valid for life and no renewal fee’s or course renewal is required. Palm Beach Gardens is a city in northern Palm Beach County that is home to roughly 56,300 residents and is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area. The city has a total area of 55,000 square miles and roughly two tenths of a mile features water.

Prior to becoming a city in 1969, Palm Beach Gardens was primarily cattle ranches and pine forests with swamp lands to the west. In 1959, the land was purchased by John D. MacArthur and he announced his plan to develop 4,000 acres and build homes for 55,000 people.
