The weekend is just around the corner and this week was the start of the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Golf is one of the most popular outdoor activities not just in the state of Florida but also in Palm Beach County. The county is home to more than 160 golf courses both private and public and the area has earned the title of “Florida’s Golf Capital”.

While playing golf requires some skill, the area is also home to great miniature courses for everyone to play and enjoy the game. According to The Weather Channel, the weather this weekend is supposed to be sunny and in the 80’s which makes a perfect day to get out and enjoy the local miniature golf courses for a day of fun.

Tequesta, a small quite village located in northern Palm Beach County surrounded by the blue waters of the intracoastal waterway and the Loxahatchee River. Tequesta is located just north of Jupiter along US Highway One and to the west of the Jupiter Inlet Colony.

Palm Beach Gardens is a city in northern Palm Beach County that is home to roughly 56,300 residents and is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area. The city has a total area of 55,000 square miles and roughly two tenths of a mile features water.

Prior to becoming a city in 1969, Palm Beach Gardens was primarily cattle ranches and pine forests with swamp lands to the west. In 1959, the land was purchased by John D. At the end of April, Palm Beach County Commissioners and Governor DeSantis met to discus the reopening of Palm Beach County.  That day, April 29th, golf courses, marinas, boat ramps, community pools, tennis courts, parks and other recreational got permission to start opening with restrictions.  Beaches and beach parks still remain closed in Palm Beach County. 

The county and golf course professionals are taking steps to keep golfers safe on the golf course and to keep COVID-19 counts down in Palm Beach County. For golfers who have been itching to get back on the golf course, please note the restrictions set in place to keep everyone safe.

Governor DeSantis and Palm Beach County Commissioners and Mayor announced some positive news about the slow down of Covid-19 in South Florida and the start of reopening Florida. 

Palm Beach County is taking gradual steps to start to reopen the county in a safe way. On Monday afternoon, the county commissioners announced that starting yesterday Wednesday, April 29th marinas, public parks, boat ramps, community pools, golf courses, tennis courts and other recreational facilities will begin to open with restrictions and maintaining social distancing practices. The beaches will still remain closed until further notice.
