Today, marks the last day of school in Palm Beach County and the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is celebrating by hosting their School’s Out Bash tonight along with the Jupiter Hammerheads versus Daytona Tortugas baseball game.

The gates open for the game and the event at 5:30 pm tonight. The baseball game begins at 6:30 pm, click here for tickets.

The School’s Out Bash is a free family event hosted by the stadium and the Jupiter Medical Center. The event includes special giveaways, balloon sculpting, face painting, arts and crafts, a Teddy Bear Clinic and much more. The night will finish off with fireworks to celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer.

The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center have partnered together to create the Turtle Wars event at the stadium on Saturday, June 1st.

Turtle Wars is an event going on during the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Daytona Tortugas baseball game and helps promote sea turtle and ocean conservation with benefits going to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

For the game, the Jupiter Hammerheads will be changing their name to the Loggerheads. The Loggerheads will also feature a new jersey that will have loggerhead turtles on them in bright orange and blue colors.

Tonight, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting its weekly Twilight Yoga at the Light.

Come and experience Yoga with Mary Veal on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset. The event occurs every Monday unless otherwise noted. The Yoga class is for all levels of yoga and all are welcomed and encouraged to join in.

The class costs $10 dollars per person and you are asked to bring your own yoga mat, a water bottle, and a flashlight. The class starts at 7 pm tonight and you are asked to meet 10 minutes prior to the start of the class at the Lighthouse Museum.

May is halfway until Halloween and this year the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is hosting their Halfway to Halloween party again this Saturday, May 18th. Dress up in your favorite Halloween costumes for a night of fun, baseball and candy.

The Roger Dean Stadium will magically transform into a large haunted house for the whole family. The event has been going on for a few years and has been a huge success. In addition to the giant haunted house and Halloween activities the stadium is also hosting the Palm Beach Cardinals and the Bradenton Marauders for a minor league baseball game.

The gates open at 4 pm for the event and for the Palm Beach Cardinals versus the Bradenton Marauders baseball game starting at 5:30 pm.

This weekend the weather is supposed to be in the 80’s with a little chance of rain and what better way to spend your Thursday, Friday or Saturday night then outside enjoy live music by some of the best local and tribute bands. This weekend there are several outdoor music events going on in Palm Beach County.

The Wellington Amphitheater is hosting their free weekly concert this Thursday night, May 16th at 6:30 pm. The free concert is part of Wellington’s weekly Food Truck Series that will going on at the same time. The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” and the River Center in Jupiter have teamed up again for another Boating Safety Class this Saturday, May 18th. The safety classes are aimed for young boaters and teens but all are welcomed to attend the boating safety class.

The classes are taught in a lecture style learning and at the end of the class, those who attend are required to take and pass the boater safety test to receive their Boater Safety Card issued by the State of Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conversation Commission. The State of Florida requires that any person born after January 1st, 1988, and who wishes to operate a vessel of 10 horsepower or more must pass a Boater’s Safety Course and received their Boater Safety Card.

The Jupiter Dive Center and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center have partnered together for a Sea Turtle Awareness Class as part of their ProjectAWARE bringing awareness to Marinelife. The class is this Saturday, May 11th from 10 am to 5 pm.

The Sea Turtle Awareness specialty course introduces scuba divers to the basic sea turtle identification and conservation. In the class you’ll learn about the preservation of the aquatic environment and about the sea turtle species common in our ocean. The class will also teach you about the skills and knowledge needed to record sightings, identify the sea turtles, the importance of sea turtles and other Marinelife, and the decline in sea turtle populations.

This Saturday, May 11th the 5th Annual Live Like Jake 5K Run and Walk is taking place at the Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter. The Run and walk benefits and continues to raise money for ISR self-rescue swimming lessons to help prevent childhood drowning.

The 3.1. mile run and walk is an asphalt course and is a USATF Certified Course. The 5K runners will be electronically chip-timed during the run. During the run there will also be a Jake’s Mile walk and all ages are welcomed to attend.

Finisher medals will be awarded to all runners. Awards will be given to the overall Masters and Grandmasters for both male and female winners for each age group.

This Wednesday, May 8th, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Mother’s Day Blooms event to benefit the Jupiter Lighthouse.

Bring your sister, mom, or best friend to the event to celebrate the special day with a fun filled flower workshop. At the event you’ll learn how to make your own flower arrangements and will be able to take home your flower arrangement at the end of the event. A light afternoon tea will be served.

The event starts at 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm in the lighthouse’s Quarterdeck Room. Tickets are $65 dollars per person and a portion of your ticket price will be donated to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum.
