Registration is now open for the 8th Annual Run 4 The Sea 2019. The run supports the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission of ocean conservation and sea turtle research and rehabilitation.

The run is a timed 4 mile run along A1A in Juno Beach and Jupiter. The race is Saturday, June 15th and is open to all runners and walkers who wish to participate. In addition to the 4-mile run there will be a 1-mile Kids Fun Run that will start at 8:15 am after the 4-mile run has started. The cost of the 1-Mile Kids Run is $20 dollars and it includes a child’s t-shirt and a finishers medal. Parents can either cheer on their child along the run or join in on the run for no additional charge.

The popular and growing trend of Food Trucks are rolling into Downtown Abacoa this Friday night for the monthly Food Truck Friday’s. The reoccurring event occurs on the second Friday of every month.

The colorful food trucks line the streets of the Town Center in Abacoa and offer a variety of different cuisines from around the world. The food trucks specialize in different styles of cuisine to make their truck stand out from the other food trucks in the area.

The truck lineup includes everything from desserts, pastries, burgers, tacos, Asian food, wraps, chicken and much more.

Every Tuesday and Thursday the Pontiki boat sets out for a Sunset Cruise along the intracoastal waterways of Jupiter.

The pontoon Pontiki boat features a friendly captain that takes you to some of the best sightseeing spots in our area and stops along the way to find a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the water.

The sunset cruise take place on the boat Shaka, the newest and largest of the Pontiki fleet. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is having their Inaugural Luminary Luncheon on Tuesday, April 16th at 12 pm.

The luncheon is hosted by the Lighthouse Luminaries who are ambassadors for the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. The Luminaries meet socially to promote and fundraise for the preservation for the iconic Jupiter Lighthouse and other buildings onsite.

The proceeds raised from the luncheon will support the painting of their interior and exterior of the Lighthouse which takes place every 10 years.
The Luncheon is taking place Tuesday, April 16th from 12 pm to 2:30 pm at new The Pelican Club located at 1065 North Highway A1A in Jupiter. The Honorary Co-Chairs for the event are Joe Namath and Charles Modica.

The Friends of Jupiter Beach are hosting a Beach Cleanup this Saturday. The Friends of Jupiter Beach has been organizing beach cleanups every month since 1994 and they are always on the first Saturday of the month.

Volunteers from more than 15 different area codes and all ages come to Jupiter to help remove the trash and recyclables from the beach. For those who attend and participate in the clean up there is always a continental breakfast and a “Thanks for coming” prizes.

The cleanup started when a small group of volunteers gathered together to pick up the trash from the beach, the cleanup now has evolved into over 200 volunteers every month. On average, more than 490 pounds of trash and recyclables are collected during the beach clean ups every month…

Baseball’s Opening Day at the Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter is this Thursday, April 4th against the Jupiter Hammerhead and the Palm Beach Cardinals. The Stadium just hosted two professional teams for their Spring Training, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins.

The stadium is just one of two stadiums to host two Major League Baseball teams every year for Spring Training in Florida. The two teams share the stadium but have separate outdoor batting cages, numerous pitching mounds, conditioning rooms and practice fields. The stadium is also home to four minor leagues and the only stadium in the country to host four minor leagues, the Jupiter Hammerheads, Palm Beach Cardinals, Gulf Coast Marlins, and the Gulf Coast Cardinals.

The Town of Jupiter is hosting their annual Coastal Fest 2019 this Saturday at Harbourside Place. The free family friendly event takes place along the intracoastal waterways on the Plaza down under The Riverwalk.

The coastal themed event features a kid’s treasure island filled with children’s activities, bounce houses, photo opportunities with a large pirate ship and pirates’ characters, local food vendors, beer and wine vendors, homemade crafts available for purchase and more.

There are several weekly concerts going on throughout Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens this weekend.

The Downtown at the Gardens host their Concerts in the Court every Friday night. The free concert in the Center Court features a diverse musical lineup of local and regional bands and tribute bands. The music features every genre from pop, rock, country, hip-hop, blues, R&B, jazz and much more. Seating is provided for you to enjoy the music. This Saturday, March 30th in Downtown Abacoa the Town of Jupiter and Jupiter Police is hosting their annual Touch A Truck event for children and families.

The family-friendly event allows children and their parents to get an up-close view and be able to touch and learn about the variety of vehicles and trucks and how they service our community. Some of the trucks and vehicles at the event include a fire truck, police vehicles, trackers, ambulances, utility trucks, school buses, garbage trucks, construction equipment, and tow trucks.

Jupiter’s DuBois Park is home to one of the last remaining historic homesteads of its kind in northern Palm Beach County. The DuBois Pioneer Home is a historic landmark in Jupiter. The home closed in 2008 for an extensive renovation and now the home is open to the public for tours to learn about Jupiter’s history and the DuBois family on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The historic homes was built in 1898 and belonged to Harry and Susan DuBois, South Florida Pioneers. The home is one of the last remaining self-sufficient homesteads in the area and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The home also happens to be the second oldest existing home in Palm Beach County.
