The 3rd Saturday Gourmet in Downtown Hobe Sound is a must attend for food lovers and those looking for food or something to do before they go out that night.

Jupiter Medical Center is set to become the latest Palm Beach County hospital with a pediatric emergency department when it opens its Mastroianni Family Pediatric Emergency Department on Friday.

The 6,300-square-foot facility, under construction since 2017, boasts eight bedded rooms and two triage rooms, as well as state-of-the-art equipment.

Jupiter Medical treated about 5,400 children in its emergency department last fiscal year, hospital public relations specialist Ernestine Williams said. Since the hospital opened its De George Pediatric Unit in 2016, pediatric emergency visits have increased by 30 percent, the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation said in a news release.

The Town of Jupiter is hosting its 29th Annual Turtle Trot 5K Run tomorrow (Saturday, May 4th). This is a flat and fast, out and back 3.1-mile race along the beautiful Jupiter beach. A free tech shirt will be provided to all registered participants, available sizes are first come, first served. This race for runners of all ages as well as for families. You can be competitive or just run for fun, either way it’s a great event.

All finishers will receive a medal for completing the 5K. Accuchip will manage all timing and scoring. We are encouraging all participants to wear their favorite Star Wars themed costumes. There will be a contest for the best-dressed adult runner and child runner
