The annual Festival of the Arts BOCA is back again for another year this March. The extraordinary, multi-day cultural arts event is in its 15th season and the festival promises to be unlike any festival they have ever produced.

The 10-day festival brings some of the world’s finest artists, performers, authors, and thinkers to the event. New this year, the entire festival will be completely virtual, and all the events will be free to stream. Donations are greatly appreciated.

Those who plan to stream the festival virtually will get a change to listen to and see some of the world’s most sought out authors, speakers, performers, film screening, performances and much more.

This upcoming weekend, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their second annual Hike 2O event. Gather your friends and hiking gear and join in on the weekend of fun.

Hike 2O is a three-day, two-night event in the back country that is being held this Friday through Sunday. Hikers will join trail experts from the Florida Trail Association- Loxahatchee Chapter and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff biologists as they are guided through some of South Florida’s most iconic ecosystems.

The famous Norton Museum of Art is excited to be open and welcoming guest back. This year, the museum is celebrating its 80th Anniversary and in the beginning of February held a virtual celebration to celebrate the milestone.

The Norton Museum of Art was founded in 1941 by Ralph H. Norton and his wife Elizabeth. Norton was an industrialist in Chicago who was head of the Acme Steel Company. The idea of the museum came about because the two used to collect art and items to decorate their homes.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers a unique program that allows the public to adopt a sea turtle from their sea turtle research and rehabilitation center. The adoption program helps benefit further research and continuous care for the injured, sick, and endangered sea turtles housed in Juno Beach.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help protect marine life and help to promote ocean conservation. If an injured sea turtle is found, the center rescues the sea turtle and brings it to their rehabilitation center for treatment and diagnosis before being released back into the ocean.

One of the benefits of living in Florida is being able to hop in a boat and get out on the water and enjoy the sunshine and weather. Boating is a very popular activity for all ages in Florida.  Any day of the week, dozens of boats out will be out on the water for hours enjoying the many benefits of living in the sunshine state.

Since 2010, the state of Florida requires that any person who wishes to operate a vessel of more than ten horsepower or more and is born after January 1st, 1988 must pass and complete a boater safety course. The course can either be done in person or online.

Spring is just around the corner and the end of February means the return of baseball for many fans. Baseball’s Spring Training brings new players, new goals, and new expectations for the upcoming MLB Season. In Palm Beach County, four professional teams play their Spring Training games at two local baseball stadiums.

The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is home to the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training games. The FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is home to the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros.
