This Friday night, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their reoccurring popular Sea Turtle Sleepover event.

The Sleepover over is an exclusive overnight event that includes the ultimate slumber party, a tour of the outdoor sea turtle hospital, snacks, movie time, pizza, and activities for aspiring scientists. The Sea Turtle Sleepover is aimed for children ages 8 through 12 years old.

The event begins at 7 pm on Friday, September 20th and the cost is $65 dollars per child. The cost also includes pizza and snacks. The sleepover is a drop off event, but parents and chaperones are welcomed to stay over and participate in all the events throughout the night.

Calling all fried chicken fans, The Regional Kitchen in West Palm Beach has won the award for the “Best Fried Chicken In Every State” for Florida.

Last month, a national online survey was conducted, and the winner was a restaurant in Belle Glade but most recently the Food Network conducted a study and The Regional Kitchen in West Palm Beach has won the award for the best fried chicken in the state of Florida.

The restaurant’s executive Chef Lindsay Autry adds her own spin to the classic southern fried chicken. The secret is sweet tea. Before the chicken gets fried, she brines the boneless chicken in sweet tea. By doing this the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside.

This Saturday, September 21st is International Coastal Clean Up day around the world. International Coastal Clean Up Day is the world’s largest event where volunteers come together to help clean up our beaches and help to protect marine life. The event happens every year and volunteers from over 100 countries head to their local beaches and coastline to show their support for a cleaner ocean.

The Downtown at the Gardens and the Palm Beach Food Bank have gotten together for the second year in a row for the Magical Night To Fight Hunger Event. The event is taking place on Thursday, September 26th at 6 pm at the Downtown at the Gardens.

Come and enjoy a three-course meal under the stars with live music and entertainment. The night benefits the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Tickets are $75 dollars per person and you can RSVP by this upcoming Saturday, September 14th. No walk-in’s will be allowed due to the popularity of the event.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is a sea turtle rehabilitation, research and education center. The center is a non-profit that promotes the conservation of the ocean’s ecosystems and focuses on endangered and threatened sea turtles.

The center offers onsite rehabilitation center for injured and endangered sea turtles, aquariums, research laboratories. The Center continues to monitor the turtles progress for their recovery before releasing the sea turtle back into the ocean.

Every day the center hosts numerous events and this weekend there is plenty of events for everyone to enjoy.
