La Goulue, located at 288 S County Rd, Palm Beach,  which opened in October, is the sister restaurant of the New York City  La Goulue eatery. Restaurateur Jean Denoyer points out that La Goulue is a restaurant of New York or Palm Beach, but from France. As one would expect, the service was flawless, from arrival at valet parking, to the beautiful open bar area and great selection of French wines right on through to dessert. La Goulue is perfect with a menu of divine classics such as a Gruyère, Parmesan, and white truffle souffle.  The souffle has been a favorite at the NYC location since 1972. The food itself is pure self-indulgence which is perfectly suited to a restaurant whose name translates to “the glutton.”

To step into La Goulue on Palm…

Several sizable moving trucks arrived at President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago club on Palm Beach Monday morning.  The siting ignited conjecture that he and the family will be relocating to South Florida once he leaves office.

At least two trucks from J.K. Moving Services were positioned in front of Mar-a-Lago along with workers carting large moving boxes into the property.

Police expect Trump to arrive in South Florida on Inauguration Day. Tight security was evident with a United States of America helicopter and Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office helicopter hovering over Mar-a-Lago and marine patrol boats monitoring things on the waterways.

President Trump is anticipated to arrive in Southeast Florida on Wednesday morning, the same day…

This year marks the 132nd anniversary of the oldest existing congregation in Palm Beach. The church building is an example of the gothic revival style and surrounds a courtyard. In the late 1880’s the need for a church in ever expanding South Florida area was increasing.  Reverend Joseph N. Mulford, a pastor at Christ Church in New York, volunteered to start a mission in South Florida. In 1889, they congregated on the shores of Lake Worth to establish an Episcopal mission.

Initially, Bethesda by the Sea, the church began in the Little Red Schoolhouse in January 1889. The preliminary church was built of mostly wood from old packing boxes washed up from the beach with service beginning in April that year. There was little access to the church aside…

Palm Beach County’s first tourists were the early settlers. These earliest visitors became the first residents of the area. The first permanent residents of Palm Beach County date back to 1872. They struggled to clear the dense marshland for building homes and growing crops.

Farming was the way that most of the early homesteaders and pioneers made their living. Most people probably do not know that Palm Beach County was once the largest pineapple growing area in the continental United States (at that time Hawaii was still a territory). Pineapple growing in Florida goes back to 1860, when Benjamin Baker planted the first pineapples in the Florida Keys at Plantation Key from plants he had brought in from Cuba. By 1876, pineapple farming was…

Since the 1950s, Lilly Pulitzer items have been recognized as one of the iconic styles that represent the Palm Beach resort life.

Lilly and husband Peter Pulitzer settled in Palm Beach shortly after their marriage. They owned orange groves and, with produce from these, she opened a fruit juice stand on Via Mizner in Palm Beach. While working at the stand, Lilly found that squeezing juice made a mess of her clothes. Seeking to camouflage the juice stains, she designed a cool shift dress without sleeves made of bright,…
