PGA National Resort and Spa is hosting their Fifth Annual Craft Beer Bash this Saturday, August 10th.

The popular event features more than 150 varieties of craft beers and hard ciders with focus on Florida breweries. You’ll also have a chance to vote for your favorite beer and cider to help pick the winner of the People’s Choice Award. Last year, Twisted Trunk Brewery won Best Craft Beer and Rekorderling won Best Cider.

The Craft Beer Bash benefits Bluewater Babes Charitable Trust, a non-profit public charity committed to providing financial assistance to local breast cancer and ovarian cancer patients in financial need.

The City of West Palm Beach is hosting their weekly Clematis By Night this Thursday, August 8th as part of their Summer in Paradise events. The event starts at 6 pm on Clematis street near the waterfront this Thursday night.

Come and enjoy entertainment and music from two local bands. In addition to the live music and entertainment, there will also be great food from local restaurants and food trucks, and shopping.

On the third Wednesday of every month, you can take an adventurous tour of the Loxahatchee River with the River Center!

Hop aboard a vessel from Aqua Adventure Tours along with a naturalist from the River Center who will tell you all about the waterway, its ecosystems, and different area species. 

The Loxahatchee is a 7.6-mile river that starts out freshwater, meanders through brackish estuaries, through the Jupiter Inlet, and empties out into the Atlantic Ocean. It is home to many different marine life species and birds, as well as protected land areas along that run alongside it, and is only one of two rivers in the state federally designated as a National Wild & Scenic River.

The Grassy Water Preserve is hosting their Kayak Cruise on Saturday, August 3rd at their Nature Center.

During the Kayak Cruise, you’ll guide through the shallow waters of the Everglades while learning about the history and ecology of the Grassy Water Preserve.

The Kayak Cruise begins at 9:30 am on Saturday, August 3rd. With Check-in beginning at 9 am at the Nature Center on Northlake Boulevard. Space is limited and reservations are required to participate. Children must be 6 years old or older with a participating adult. The cost is $10 dollars per adult and $5 dollars per child.

Everyday throughout the month of August, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their Hatchling Releases.

The Hatchling Release program is a unique experience that allows the public to learn about the nesting and hatching process of sea turtles. The program is an after-hours program and begins at 8 pm every night during the month. The night begins where visitors can view the center’s current sea turtle patients in their outdoor Sea Turtle Hospital, followed by a trip down to the beach to see a Marinelife staff member release a sea turtle hatchling into the ocean.

The Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee has added a new water park and it is now open for business. The new Safari Falls is a much anticipated 10,000 square foot water attraction that opened Wednesday, July 31st.

Safari Falls features a 550-gallon dump bucket that splashes water every 5 minutes, water slides and water cannons. The new attraction is included in the cost of admission to the park and is located in the original Safari Splash Playground which was mainly used by small children. The new attraction is three times the size of the original water area and can accommodate up to 300 guests at a time.

This month, the Downtown at the Gardens is hosting their free weekly Summer Concert Series on Friday nights.

The musical lineup features a mix of local and regional bands and tribute bands that perform in the Downtown Park from 7 pm to 10 pm. The bands play everything from pop, rock, reggae, country, 80’s hits and much more.

This weekend the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is hosting a Hawaiian Luau during the Jupiter Hammerheads baseball game.

During the event there will be an authentic family-style Hawaiian dinner, specialty cocktails, Polynesian Dance performances from Mai-Kai, and a raffle to win two airplane vouchers for flights to Hawaii. Be sure to wear your favorite Hawaiian print shirt to the event.

This month, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting several events for the whole family to enjoy.

Twilight Yoga at The Light: The class is led by Yoga Instructor Mary Veal and is open to all levels of Yoga. The class begins at sunset on the Lighthouse Deck and experience the serenity of Yoga while watching the sun set over the water. You are asked to bring your own yoga mat, a water bottle and a flashlight to the class. The cost is $10 dollars per person and the classes are weather dependent. The state of Florida is just one of 15 states to offer a Tax-Free Holiday on School supplies during the first few days of August. According to the Palm Beach County 2019 School Calendar the first day of school for students is Monday, August 12th and several retailers and online websites offer tax breaks on school supplies and clothing.
