Clematis by Night

Clematis Street transforms itself into Clematis By Night, a free music concert series where people enjoy popular South Florida bands with lots of food and beverage vendors within a few steps. Tomorrow, Saturday Feburary 9th is the big day for the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. The museum opens its doors after eight years of construction and renovations. The museum has undergone a $100 million renovations that were done by the award-winning British Architectural Design and Engineering firm, Foster + Partners.

The museum had to start fundraising campaigns to raise $100 million dollars for the renovations and continued to raise money until the renovations were completed.

Bring your dogs to the waterfront in West Palm Beach this Sunday, February 10th for their “Paws In The Park” event starting at 10 am.

This free event for dogs and their owners that features a pet photo booth, a doggie lure track for your pets to run around and play, food trucks, splash dogs dock jumping, a kid’s zone, a free gift provided by many of the vendors onsite for the day. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is open 7 days a week and hosts a series of events throughout the week. The iconic red lighthouse has been part of Jupiter’s history since its construction in 1853.

Twilight Yoga at the Light: Monday February 11th, 18th, and 25th
Come and join in on the ultimate yoga class outside underneath the stars and lighthouse. Mary Veal will be teaching yoga at sunset every Monday at 6 pm. Come and join in on the fun this Saturday night for a Family Movie Night. The movie being featured on the big screen is SmallFoot starting at dusk around 6:30 pm.

SmallFoot came out late last year and is an animated comedy about a friendly Yeti named Migo whose world gets turned upside down when he discovers a human, something he didn’t know existed. Migo faces banishment from his snowy hometown when nobody believes him, so he goes on a journey to show his community and restore his name. Zumba in the Park is an ongoing event that is happening throughout the entire month of February. Every night at the Officer Bruce St. Laurent Park on Military Trail in Jupiter, a free Zumba class is taught for all who wish to attend.

Zumba has become a growing trend in the fitness world and was created by a Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez in the 1990s. Zumba is a fitness program that involves movements and combines Latin American and international music with dance moves to get the ultimate workout. Zumba incorporates interval training by alternating slow and fast movements and resistance training. It’s a total workout that combines all elements of fitness into one, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and cardio.

On the evening of February 16, 2019 at 6:00 pm, a special screening of Burt Reynolds’ award-winning movie, The Last Movie Star, will be shown on the rooftop venue at Harbourside Place, Jupiter.

This event is a birthday tribute to the man who brought us 55 plus years of smiles and laughter. His birthday would have been February 11th. The master of ceremonies will be actor/director/teacher C. Todd Vittum, who was Reynolds’ assistant for many years. Vittum also has a role in the film.
