Clean, clutter free and streamlined kitchens are directing the new home trends this 2016 season.   Modern touches are even reaching the popular “Tuscan-style” kitchens by adding a modern flavor.  Stainless steel and open thick glass shelving are shaping the new kitchen.

An easy change in any home is addressing electrical outlets.  Today’s family has an average of 12-plus mobile devices.  Multiple plugs are necessary for today’s family.  A cool new product called thingCHARGER aims to make the “process a little easier and neater, as it goes in right over an existing outlet, and docks various devices on top for easy charging.” It features various top mounted charging tips that…

This time of year is sea turtle nesting season in Florida. The majestic sea turtles make their way out of the ocean and onto shore to lay their eggs. During the summer months, Jupiter becomes a safe haven for nesting turtles that have been coming to lay their eggs on these beaches for hundreds of years.

The town makes a great effort to change all of the beach road lighting to an ambient red color that will not disturb the turtles and prevent them from coming ashore to nest. The traffic lights get a special filter that makes the light only noticeable to cars driving along the road and the correct angle and of course there are strict rules observers must follow when it comes to watching the turtles nest. The climate in South Florida is described as sub-tropical. With the exception of an occasional, brief summer rain shower, most homeowners and their families spend ample time outside of the home enjoying the weather.  In Palm Beach County, the climate designates outdoor living as the way to enjoy leisure time.   Many of the spectacular waterfront properties listed with Waterfront Properties and Club Communities feature outdoor amenities designed for pleasurable alfresco living.

Architects have masterfully designed homes with resort style pools and cascading waterfalls, koi ponds, wine cellars and home theaters.  Sometimes amenities are just unusual – hydraulic lift transports in the garage to allow double level parking, yoga lawns, and hi-tech touch…

Their love of traveling brought them to the Solomon Islands and pointed them in the direction of what their life’s work would be. Upon reaching the islands, they were greeted by various tribal chiefs and invited for kai-kai. They learned kai-kai meant food gatherings. They learned how they grew vegetables in a very basic way. They decided that farming would be their future.
