The Town of Jupiter Island, with its beautiful beaches and exclusively private setting, attracts some of the wealthiest families in the world. Surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean, Jupiter Island boasts single family homes sitting directly on its sandy beaches. Premier dining, shopping, and championship-caliber golf courses can be found within minutes. As one of the most prosperous communities in the nation, Jupiter Island emits an unspoiled natural beauty that only an elite few are able to relish.

Golf.com conducted a survey with Tour pros on the PGA, Champions, and LPGA Tours. They provided them with anonymity and asked them some hard hitting questions. What we got was 100% honesty on everything from who will win more majors between Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy to would golfers vote for Hillary Clinton in the next Presidential election if she lowered taxes. Here are some of the highlights from the survey.

PGA Tour pros were asked "Who is more likely to win 19 majors: Tiger or Rory?" The Jupiter Island resident was given the upper hand on that one with 76% of the Tour pros surveyed thought Tiger would get to 19 first. Considering that Tiger currently has 14, while Rory only has four, I would tend to agree with them there.

53% of Tour pros think…

For so many years, we all would have had better luck getting into Fort Knox then getting into Tiger Woods' mind and finding out what he really was thinking. A human PR machine, Woods was so calculated in everything he ever said to the media you would have thought that he practiced the answers before each media session.

Over the past few years, Woods has opened up a little more. 2015 specifically has been the most transparent I think any of us that have followed his career has ever seen him. He opened up early in 2015 and shared his struggles with his new swing patterns and what his plans were with new "swing consultant" Chris Como. Then, when he announced he was taking a leave to get his game fixed, he was open an…

Fishing Outlook 4.17.15

OFFSHORE: The South Florida fishing action out deep has been a bit scattered far offshore. Closer in, is where you will find the best fishing action for the springtime. The sailfish bite seemed to slow down a bit due to the lack of current and greener waters. That could change any day as the current changes. The Cobia bite is really good in areas of the sand pile. Lots of fish around South Florida, especially near shallower wrecks in the 70’-90’ foot range. Live baits work outstanding such as crabs, pilchards, pinfish, mullet and shrimp.  On the deep side of the Juno Beach, Florida 180' ledge where is a mixed bag of fish and rudder fish and blue runners have tackled the area. Dolphin are caught and scattered among the frigate birds…

New Movie Theater in Jupiter

The Shoppes of Jupiter, across from the fabulous Harbourside Place, has finally set an inaugural date for the brand new Cinépolis Cinémas in the summer, which was previously known as Paragon Jupiter Cinéma, located on US 1 in Jupiter, Florida.

The new Cinépolis Cinémas is planning on being fully functional and opened by June 2015. The brand new movie theater will consist of about 1,460 available seats and will be having two distinctive concepts for customers to choose from. One concept is going to be offering eight chic but still traditional customary auditoriums with non –reclining leather seats that will be wider than the old-fashioned movie seats. The other notion will feature six “luxury” auditoriums which are planned to have 360 seats that…

Tiger Woods made his return to competitive golf this past week at the Masters. It was the first time since he competed in a PGA Tour event since his first round withdraw at the Farmers Insurance Open in early February.

Despite many experts predicting that he wouldn't even make the cut, Woods not only made the cut, he was in the third to last pairing of the day in the final round on Sunday.

Woods ended up finishing in a tie for 17th at 5-under after rounds of 73-69-69-73. While the Jupiter Island resident was able to complete all four rounds and for the most part look like the Tiger of old, it came at a cost.

His tee shot on the par 4 9th hole on Sunday came to rest in some pine straw just right of the fairway. When Woods hit his second shot, his…

OFFSHORE- The action has definitely perked up for the springtime! The dolphin bite has been great on all the South Florida Inlets and in theory should continue to do well through the weekend. (Trolling the usual dolphin spread with ballyhoo, strips, squid, etc.) Spring has called in some huge fish to South Florida! The Action has also picked up in the sailfish department. For us golf fans, that can only mean one thing, The Masters is upon us. The azaleas have begun the bloom, the pimento cheese sandwiches are being made, and come Thursday we will get a "hello friends" from Jim Nantz.

The first major of the year is upon us and it truly is the most wonderful time of the year. As always, the storylines heading into this week are plentiful. None are bigger though than two golfers that call our area home, heading down Magnolia Lane going in vastly different directions.

On one side, Jupiter Island resident Tiger Woods, who will be teeing it up in competition for the first time in two months and whose game is the biggest question of Masters week.…

Wildlife Officials say to Look out for shorebirds in South Florida

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) are asking all beachgoers to keep a look out and do your best not to disturb the shorebirds on the Atlantic coast of Florida.

During spring and summer, shorebirds are beach nesting; they tend to build nests with layers of sand and sea shells found on the beautiful resourceful beaches of South Florida. Due to their camouflage, hatching chicks, as well as the nest and eggs, are challenging to see with possibilities of being trodden on such as birds like the black skimmer, snowy plover and American oystercatcher and more. These types of shorebirds are species that face great challenges and need people’s awareness in…

Tiger Woods might not be playing golf right now on the PGA Tour, but he is sure keeping himself busy with golf off the course.

According to a report on golf.com, Woods has been selected to redesign a golf course in Beijing, China. The course will become a flagship in a group of a dozen or so private clubs that will provide members access to all the courses in that group.

This will be Tiger's first foray into the Asian market, and the report goes on to say that the deal is a lucrative one, paying him almost $17 million for the two-course deal.

Woods will redesign the Beijing Tain'an Holiday Golf Club, a 27-hole facility just outside the capital. When it re-opens, it will be called Pacific Links National Golf Club. Pacific Links International, a…
