This Saturday, December 3rd in the evening is a two-hour kayak and paddleboard tour at the Jupiter Inlet Aquatic Preserve. The tour begins before dusk so you can cruise leisurely through the Intracoastal Waterway as the sunsets and the stars come out. 

On this unique tour of Jupiter’s waterways you will get an upclose look at the Jupiter Lighthouse, mangrove islands, estuaries, and the inlet. You will see an abundance of native wildlife like gentle manatees, turtles, fish, pelicans and sometimes even a dolphin. As the night falls, you will get to stargaze with your naked eye and see all that the Jupiter night sky has to offer.

The Jupiter Lighthouse Museum is offering a program called “Hike Through History.” This fun and educational program allows guests to discover the topography and natural history of Jupiter’s national conservation land and historical sites.  

You will hike 2 miles across the 120 acre Jupiter Lighthouse natural area that is full of beautiful landscape and wildlife. An educated guide will explain different species of animals and plants as well as the history and topography of the land. The hike begins at the flagpole beneath the lighthouse and ventures throughout the natural area. You will be able to overlook the serene Intracoastal Waters, hike up hills and through the wooded areas.

This is your chance to have fun and help our local environment. Help spread the message in Jupiter that “PLASTIC AND MARINELIFE DON’T MIX!” by joining the Jellyfish Project Workshop. 

Together with other locals you can help make 500 jellyfish art pieces made from ocean plastic that has been collected from our beaches to help clean up our oceans. You and the group of volunteers will be hand assembling these beautiful pieces of art by fashioning the old polluted plastic into a work of art.

OBEO Society will be hosting Boots, Brews and BBQ (“BBB”) at the Lucky Old Sun Ranch in Jupiter Farms. After working closely with the Veterans Administration of Palm Beach County, OBEO Society was able to identify three local veteran families who are struggling in various ways. OBEO Society, their partners and sponsors hope to raise funds to help cover costs and expenses for these heroes in their time of need.
