The Town of Jupiter and the Village of Tequesta are nestled between Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart. Both areas cater to the outdoor style, as they wrap around the Loxahatchee River and Intracoastal Waterway, which provide incomparable views to residents. For this reason, water sports and boating are abundant. Jupiter and Tequesta also offer their share of championship golf courses and pristine beaches frequented often under consistently sunny skies.

Jupiter’s $150 million dollar waterfront entertainment and shopping complex, Harbourside Place, is not in distress.  Although one restaurant, the Deep Blu Seafood Grille, did not have the success, it hoped it would have had.  The space will be converted into “a spot for weddings and social functions”.  The idea seemingly makes more logic.  The Deep Blu Seafood Grille opened a year ago.

The 4,000 square foot restaurant closed and is in the process of being transformed into a social affair epicenter. The owner states that the space will be more profitable as a catering venue, than as a restaurant.  The Wyndham Grand Jupiter Hotel will manage the space for social affairs.

dog Mark your calendar! The 2nd Hang 20 Surf Dog Classic is set for August 27, 2016 at Carlin Park in Jupiter. Furry Friends, a no-kill shelter and clinic in Jupiter, will be hosting this family event that features live music, kids’ activities, food, vendors and dogs catching waves. The National Association of Realtors data shows existing home sales ascended again in June 2016. They stated, “Existing home sales maintained their upward trajectory in June and increased for the fourth consecutive month.”

The National Association of Realtors, “The Voice for Realtors”, is the United States principal trade association. They represent 1.1. million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate.

“Palm Beach County’s housing market is scorching,” Ten-X, a company that has profound roots in technology and real estate, said in its report released earlier this week. Seasonally attuned home values are up 16.8 percent year-over-year, “the highest pace in the country.”

Witness a very rare opportunity; observe a sea turtle hatchling release.  Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) is one of Florida’s unique non-profit educational and entertaining destinations dedicated to ocean and sea turtle conservation. Their vision is, “to be recognized locally and internationally as the leading authority in sea turtle education, research, and rehabilitation.”

LMC is offering a program, which is available the entire month of August.  The program is a behind the scenes tour of the sea turtle rehabilitation-healing center and research facility located in Juno Beach. On the beautiful Jupiter Inlet stands a historical piece of real estate, a 1906 Sperry built boathouse.  Located within the Suni Sands mobile home park property, the significant structure will be demolished and transform into a historic hotel on the 10-acre site of the Jupiter Inlet.

William Sperry and his wife, who were owners of Sperry & Hutchinson Green Stamps, built the boathouse.  Most people of a certain age, who are from the South Florida area, will recall S & H Green Stamps from Publix.  Customers collected the stamps at the grocery store or gas station, pasted them into booklets and then redeemed them for various items from books, to shoes, to canoes and more.
