Hard Rock Stadium has announced that they plan to entertain South Florida residents as an open-air drive-in theatre.

Soon, fans will be able to drive their cars into the stadium where Miami Dolphin football games are played every fall, and order food and beverages through an online system. Refreshments will be delivered to cars, and restrooms will be made available.

The theatre will showcase Miami Dolphins games, classic films, host commencement ceremonies, and more.

On the heels of last week's charity golf event that saw Dustin Johnson, Rory Mcllroy, Rickie Fowler, and Mathew Wolff raise over $5 million dollars for Coronavirus relief efforts, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson took to the golf course Sunday to do the same, and they brought some friends with them. 

Joined by Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and retired NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, the four took to the links at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound and raised $20 million for COVID-19 charities. 

While Tiger and Peyton defeated Mickelson and Brady 1-up to win the match, the real winners were not just the fans at home who got to watch live golf for the second straight week, but also all the charities that will benefit from the money raised.

Over the weekend, Florida officials met with Palm Beach County officials to address reopening guidelines and orders for recreational facilities, businesses, and parks. Since the discussions, The Town of Jupiter has reopened more parks and facilities including dog parks.

Other town parks and natural areas have been open for a few weeks now under previous executive orders and will continue to operate under the established safety and social distancing guidelines. The new executive order went into effect as of yesterday and more parks and recreational facilities were allowed to open following safety guidelines and social distancing.

Yesterday, golf returned in Florida for the TaylorMade Driving Relief Charity match that was held at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach. Palm Beach County residents and professional golfers Matthew Wolff and Rickie Fowler competed against Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson in a team’s skins game with a $3 million dollar prize to be donated to coronavirus relief.

The match began at 2 pm yesterday and McIlroy and Johnson played for the American Nurses Foundation and Fowler and Wolff played for the CDC Foundation. The final results gave the American Nurses Foundation $1.85 million dollars from the McIlroy and Johnson team and $1.15 million dollars to the CDC Foundation from the Fowler and Wolff team.

Good news for Floridians, Governor DeSantis announced last week that the entire state of Florida will begin to enter the full Phase One of reopening the state and its economy, getting one step closer at getting life back to normal.

As more things begin to open in Florida, you are still asked to follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing and wear a face mask to keep the spread of COVID-19 numbers down.

Food establishments may increase their indoor capacity to 50% instead of 25% with the proper social distancing and outdoor seating is encouraged.

The Town of Jupiter and Palm Beach County have issued an update regarding beaches and beach parks. Effective Monday, May 18, 2020 all public, private, and municipal beaches and beach parks in Palm Beach County will conditionally re-open after being closed for nearly two months due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.  

Beachgoers will be allowed to sunbathe, and concession stands for beach chairs and umbrellas, along with food and beverage stands, will be allowed to operate.The beaches and beach parks will open to the public under the following conditions and restrictions:

• Beaches will be open between sunrise and sunset only.

• Parties accessing the beaches shall follow CDC guidelines by limiting gatherings to no more than 10…

At the end of April, Palm Beach County Commissioners and Governor DeSantis met to discus the reopening of Palm Beach County.  That day, April 29th, golf courses, marinas, boat ramps, community pools, tennis courts, parks and other recreational got permission to start opening with restrictions.  Beaches and beach parks still remain closed in Palm Beach County.

In a meeting held by Governor DeSantis yesterday, that he plans on opening up Florida to all professional sports teams that want to resume activity. 

DeSantis said” all professional sports are welcome here for practicing and for playing”. The conference was held yesterday afternoon in Tallahassee. DeSantis also mentioned that “if you have a team in a area that won’t let you practice, we’ll find a place for you here in Florida”. 

The news is coming a month after Florida Division of Emergency Management agreed that professional sports are considered an essential service and were allowed to resume play in Florida, provided they are closed to the general public.  The governor made a comment stating that while professional sports might not necessarily…

Palm Beach County updated access updates for boating social distancing.  Most of Florida’s coastal counties have opened their beaches. Beaches, boat ramps and other marine access points in Palm Beach and numerous other counties are re-opening.

On April 17, Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-91, which closed all Florida Wildlife Commission maintained boat ramps, marinas and other public access points to the public, as well as State Parks.  State, county and local boat ramps are opening in more locations. 

There are restrictive launching procedures at boat ramps and the number of people aboard. Launch boats one at a time.  Boaters also cannot anchor within 50 feet of another boat.  Single riders only for jet skis, paddleboards, kayaks…
