Taking place over the next several, summer weeks at Standing Ovation Performing Arts Studio is a special art class just for kids. Every Monday beginning today and continuing on for 6 weeks is a water color and ink class.

Children can embrace their creativity and playfulness through the artistic expressions.  These educational classes will help young artists learn techniques in water color and ink line drawings. The ink drawings are to be done without the initial use of a pencil. The water color techniques will help kids focus on their expression of color. Tennis Star, Venus Williams makes a very special stay in Wellington, Florida last Tuesday to help celebrate the opening of the brand new $5 million tennis facility, The Wellington Tennis Center, off Lyons Road.

The Wellington Tennis Center made its grand opening with the five time Wimbledon champ and 20 year resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Venus Williams was greeted by an excited audience of over 200 South Florida residents.

Williams stated that she would like to see more municipal courts in South Florida, calling Wellington’s new center “beautiful” compared to others she has seen. “It has energy about it as well,” she said. “You can see how the community has embraced it. Upcoming Fishing Tournament taking place at Bahia Mar Beach Resort & Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is hosting The 3rd Annual Bulls for Brooke on June 13, 2015.

This fishing tournament has been set up to help Brooke Thabit of Boca Raton, Florida who was paralyzed almost three years ago when she broke her neck by diving off a dock. The proceeds will help pay for the physical therapy and medical necessities.

The fishing tournament will be giving out prizes for the top three boats, the top angler, top female angler and junior angler for who can reel in the heaviest dolphin, 30 pounds or more! This is definently worthwhile fishing tournament as first prize is $10,000!
