RESEARCHERS suggest CHOCOLATE is “BETTER THAN BEING in LOVE”

All you need is love, especially so close to Valentine’s Day.  However, a little chocolate cannot hurt; it may even help you feel better!

For years, scientists have been trying to unwrap the mystery of chocolate.  What makes it so irresistible? Is it the cocoa beans, caffeine, sugar or any of the hundreds of combinations that raise our spirits and libido? 

Scientists at Cambridge University have conducted MRI’s of the brain and concluded a rather modest explanation.  Neuroscientist, Adrian Owen, of Cambridge University‘s Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre said, “The scientific data suggests that the mood enhancing effects of chocolate do not appear to affect the brain via a direct biological action.”   Scientists concluded that chocolate is linked to…

FRIENDS OF JUPITER BEACH CLEANUP

Local non-profit organization “Friends of Jupiter Beach” has been organizing beach cleanups on the first Saturday of every month for over 10 years.  Initially, the clean ups began with a handful of volunteers interested in keeping the beach clean of debris and waste.  Today, the “project has evolved into a significant force for environmental care of our environment.” 

Every month an average over 200 volunteers help, remove almost 500 pounds of debris within a 2 and ½-mile stretch of Jupiter beach and the Jupiter Inlet.  This environmental preservation project is partnered up with Rapid Removal Services to haul away recyclables.

2015's Housing Market Predictions and Estimates

Predictions for the housing market in Palm Beach County for 2015 resemble the trends we saw in 2014. In 2014’s market the year began with double-digit price surges and a lack of inventory but it quickly steadied and leveled out. The local housing market is kicking off the New Year with substantial price increases, scarce inventory levels and bidding battles between buyers much like last year’s trend. However, experts and analysts are expecting this boom to stabilize at some point mid-year. CNN Money ranks the nation’s Top Ten Counties with the highest number of millionaire households.  TNS Financial Services, one of the world’s largest market research and polling firms, considered  “households with a net worth of at $1 million not including the value of the resident’s home. “
